Star Wars vs Star Trek vs Battlestar Galactica

Hello everyone. I have created a map featuring star wars star trek and BSG. I have 5 factions included.

Empire: venator/imperial star destroyers/tie interceptors
Rebels: x-wings, y-wings, a-wings, arc-170, z95-headhunters
Cylons: Baseship, raider, heavy raiders
Colonial Fleet: battlestar, raptor, vipers
Starfleet: Borg Cube, Bird of Prey, Galaxy Class, Miranda Class.

all the models are in, many of them have abilities. i do have some buildings to go along with the ships as well as upgrades. i put in many custome icons so that all ships have them. my problem is that i dont have the slightest clue for gameplay! i have all these factions/units and no way for them to combat each other. So i need your help. I need someone/people to come up with different ideas, maybe game modes, SOMTHING so that you could build these ships and fight them all against each other!

Hm, did you give up on Naboo? Anyway, since you are making maps on everything that I am a huge fan on, I will be the first to respond. I will be thinking of many diffrent modes, but this is the first that came to mind.

Artifact Ship Capture Mode- A mysterious ship has entered airspace. No life forms detected. The ship itself contains a fast variety of complex resources and technology. Each faction is interested in this ship for their own purposes. If you have ships around the Artifact ship, the ship begins heading to your base. If enemy ships enter the area near the Artifact ship, the ship stops moving. To continue the movement of the ship to your base, you must destroy all enemy ships around the Artifact ship. The battles continue as the factions continue to send ships to the Artifact ship. The first faction to escort the ship back to their base/area wins.

Hope this is a good starting idea for a mode, and good luck ^_^

hmm there is 1 idea. about naboo im just sure what exzactly i want to do. there are alot of complications with the 1st person space battle in the begininng, and i know that is the only thing that would be really fun for that kind of space thing. so im not sure what exzactly i want to do with that. as for the other star trek game i had, i just revised it and thought it was good enough to release it. as for this game, same thing, only i dont have a good gameplay for it, so i need ideas. and all the units are done, imports are done, i just need a way to make it all work together.

i did do a slight stretch of units in ther timeline of there factions. however the Venator was brought into service 20 years before the battle of yavin, u think after 20 years they wont have any by the time the new Imperials were commin out? and i have the arc-170 for rebels because it serves as the predessor to the Z-95, which precedes the X-wing. so i thought they might as well stay along since i have the model for it.

On the right side it will state what era each ship was in (clone wars, galactic civil war, ect). twords the bottom it will stage the ships history. the venator can still be found 40 years after Battle of Yavin, and the Arc-170 was imployed by rebel and imperial use.

it said that *most* were outdated and left to drift in space. however this whole debate is irrelivant, because in the game i have it set up that u have to research new technology before u can get the imperial star destroyer. however u do start off with the older Venator star destroyer. and it would make sense for the rebels to use whatever fighter they got there hands on.

a mode where you start off with your weakest (hero) ship and lvl up to become a better one (if its destroyed you can revive it, but if the building that makes it revive is killed you lose), and once you reach max you can make more (non-hero) ships, Space pirates are the fodder
Its like battleships but without AI ships attacking eachother

This isn't like battleships in any way, and if you do make it 1st Person, try to make it so you control with arrow keys so its harder, this will make for some interesting dogfights if you get it in the air

In battleships you get a hero ship while your AI sends out more ships, in this you get a hero ship but your AI doesnt send out ships and instead you have to fight the space pirates scattered about, and when you ship reachs max lvl, then you can make non-hero ships that you control
its really a cross between Kings and Knights and BattleShips

ty, also i think you could use one of the physic engines around Hive to simulate gravitational effects that asteroids and planets have on ships, you could probably modify one so the grav can stick to units instead of terrain, making it work in all directions would be the hard part

first there should be more than 2 resources. (thats already need some tiggering)
like planets could add 3 kind of resources (planets should be upgrade able)+ 1 kind of resources from asteroid mining + 1 kind resources from killing players or ai-s (for advanced special units) + 1 kind of resources which could be generated, for example from solar plants in the space

every shipyard would have 6 item slot and would be able to build only one kind or type of ship.
these 6 item slot must be filled with the ship parts to build one ship. (items would be stack able) every item would change some attribute on the ship. like: armor (would change lot in armor and some in hp), hull (would change lot in hp and some armor), weapons (would change damage...), radar (would change sight and maybe weapon range) engine (ship speed) and shield (mana shield) but u can find out different items.

ships type would be researchable. (every ship type would need different shipyard) (like everyship type would use different items. for example there would be ships with integraded radar (wouldnt need radar item) and ships without shields but they could use 2 weapon item for building them which would give them double attack speed or something like that)

ship items quality would be researchable (armor, hull, shield...) (and would give different attributes to every ship type. for example there would be ship types which would get more hull hp from a good hull than other ship types but would get less damage from good weapon item than other shipy types)
(if u want kickass research system and u are kickass in programing u could make this:
player could change every research researchtime (and cost). with higher time duration researching would give better item quality lvl than researching with less time. (longer researches would cost more resources)
u could be able to research out better and better researchlabs
every item and its research would cost lot more from 1 type of resource than from other resources.
ship building block items would be built in different buildings and would be able to put on out product. (than it could be transported to shipyard with cargo ship or u could make some kind of auto transport system)

thats not really a game type, but it is interesting, but that game you linked to is crap

first off, do you know how many combos you can have? even if theres 3 different levels of armor, shields, etc. there would be about 18564 different Combinations of ships, i may be doing my math wrong so ima check

dont be narrow minded. u dont need 18564 different combination. for example newly built ships would have unremoveable items which would give the bonuses.
the game I linked have awesome programing and simulation. u can call it crap or anything (from 1 look), it took me about half year to learn play with it and yes it dont have awesome visual effects.D

that game is made by GameForge, let me tell you something about them, they are worthless scumsuckers who fill their games with so much advertising, that for one game, it takes an hour to load one page because they put so many ads, they also cant program for shit and the game that it is based off of is here, that game is entirely rigged towards people who play for longer peirods and dont let any new ones ever get near the top, also they dont even custom program it, they enter in some Variables into a program not even made by them, and then turn it into a game

if you want to see good programming, look no further than Navy Field, where money only buys you slightly different ships, and it's full 3D with lots of Explosions

ooooo i have one, take the Customization that hookah posted and inculde my Ship Buildingat max lvl and put it into a map where you have to defeat a main enemy but you arent allied to eachother, making it so that you have this main thing to complete while being distracted by squabbles with the other teams

and yes Ogame is a crap. but war-facts arent made by GameForge and that game is not about visual things... its a simulation which has awesome ideas and systems....
just note it was made by lots of people like most of the current developers dont even know who made it:D
