Hi, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this or not. But i want to know is there a program or a method to compress audio files. I want this so i can insert custom music into my map but they always seem to take up a lot of space.

Reduced the bit-rate to how much exactly?
With mp3-files, the most common lossy compression is reducing the bitrate.

If your music is looping, you can just cut of a chunk and make warcraft loop it.

I'm going to need some information though:
1) Which song(s) do you want to compress?
2) What's the bit-rate (original and new) of those songs?
3) What's the size (before - after changing the bit-rate) of those songs?

Ok. Heres the information.

1. It's a background sound. Do you need me to attach it?

2. The original bit-rate is 128, and i changed it to 48. The quality dropped a bit but its still good to play.

3. Original size is 1.7mb, after i reduced it is 656kb. Although it is good enough but i was wondering if it can go smaller with it different compressing method.

Oh and the song is not looping but that gave me an idea.
