You really asking how he did it ? It's not that hard, it's just lots of it.
Also a fix for my previous statements: Ion is the most powerfull one followed by warp, and far from that shields, and Trade federation, everything else is gibberish not worth obtaining, unless you are losing on ground so you get ground final tech, everything else like GC cannon, mobile BS and chemical and nuke final are just completely UNDERPOWERED to first ones, and/or your already winner of space when you get some of them, or your dead because you wanted to use them.
Also Plazma technology is by far the most powerfull one in the whole game, combined with Ion Generation final it's unstopabble, second being Motherships + fission battle cruisers with warp final tech, and third being Phase.
This map is highly terribly made if viewed from it's balance of all 4 technologies.
Trully each advancer one beats the less advanced one, and they are chained in circle of power kind of i am stronger of you, you of me etc as Fission beats Phase.
Biggest reason for inbalance then comes that, the only tech that has bombers to attack planets from space besides bombing it, is dark energy/plazma, which also has the best command ship, with aura of damage, which can help beating it's supperior tech that counters it, phase. Though phase can stomp those Phantasm bombers because of low dmg/high atk speed, they are a mothership more expensive to get, and they don't have a good command ship, nor they have any final techs.
Also the ground to space and vice versa needs tweaking in interface, control, transition.
You should do changes here in the gameplay before those of new projectile system really.
Also i want to ask if modules for ships actually do damage based on their type... do they ?
