[Need Info] Shield Armor vs. Life Armor

Upon some testing I realized that Shield Armor actually counts double compared to Life Armor.

If you have 1 Life Armor the damage is reduced by 1.
If you have 1 Shield Armor the damage is reduced by 2.

Is this really true or did I do something terribly buggy without realizing it?


Any case: Is there a way to change this?
