Ok we need a nice thread becouse (nice thread is a lot of attention)

real138 could make a sideways like banner for us with big letters

with first the info and then some detailed information ending wtih screenshots and credits (i can make an layout if real138 gives me the picture and some screenshots (a lil text at the right bottom corner saying runescape wc3 adventure))

Important Information

1. Map will be released in two seperate maps.

The reason this cannot be completed with the 'Epic' size of a Warcraft map is because the size of the real Runescape area will be too large to cover in a single map. It will be divided into:
A - The Wilderness
The Wilderness is the most ferocious place in Runescape, and is the known as the Graveyard for careless players. The Wilderness will also have the strongest creatures, and where the Player Versus Player feature will take effect. There will also be training spots for players to get stronger and level up like Strongholds, and we will try to place the Tzhaar Fight Pits as well. The God Wars dungeon will also be included in The Wilderness. This map will have all the combat aspects of the game, so this is basically a huge endless arena. Take note, there will not be many quests here.

B - The Cities
The cities will be more on the more 'social' and 'industrious' skills of Runescape. The cities will be lush areas fit to what Jagex has created. Though, this part of the production has been halted due to lack of members, and the location of all the quests, along with a few monsters to kill.

As for now, we are working on The Wilderness, because it's more of a basic concept, since it's all about fighting and Player Versus Player battles and epic Boss Battles. Hopefully when The Wilderness is done and released, we will have other members that are ready to work on the Cities.

2. We need more members.

Right now, at this moment we need:
- Makers and Triggerers of the Runes required for spells. For now, don't bother with the other runes, just work on the basic elemental runes. -
- Equipment for players, only up to Rune with stats; and don't bother with the Novite, Bathus, Marmaros, Kratonite, Fractite and the rest of the Dungeoneering equipment. -
- The Wilderness Ditch Trigger and Terrain -
- Revenant spells which are Bind and a separate ranged and magic attack -
- Spell Books and Spells -
- Monsters for areas with appropriate spells and models -
- Bosses -
- Stronghold Of Security Triggers and Enemies -
- God Wars Dungeon; Zamorak, Bandos, Saradomin, Armadyl -
- Terrainers for different cities and nature areas -

3. Feedback and Suggestions are very helpful to the project.

All your suggestions and bug reports affect the project. All of your suggestions help to make the map better, and bug reports make sure the map is clean and working properly!

Dabu flu, i completed these Summoning creatures. I created every monster, but some- however, dont have correct models, like Bunyip or Wolpertinger. Also, some abilities arent combat-based like "Fills compost bin with compost" so i didnt create them.

Creeps have:
-HP like in RS (new version with 10 times more)
-Damage like in RS, but with min. hit 2 because of Damage base and Dspd
-Hp regeneration is 0,17, so 10,2 HP per minute.
-Mana for special abilities
-Levels like in RS. Also, if you want to copy it go to Gameplay constants and go down and set Unit max level to 999. (press shift and click, then set 999)

I was working on one awesome blood elf map so sorry if im bit late, these elves are just awesone (swordsmen, archers and priests!!)

Music = big file size. If this is going to be multiplayer, don't bother adding custom music. Although it'd make a great touch, it just wouldn't be beneficial enough since some players would just mute the game's music and play their own music from their desktop. :p

So unless this is going to be a single player campaign or something, don't add music or sound files. They're heavy on maps.

well the cities map is campaign map
but the wilderness map is multiplayer mainly based on combat an pvp
an epic boss fights
an i think the warcraft default music suits the wilderness map a lot :D :D

The sounds should be included if asking me. Because then it will feel more like RS, but the "gamers" can choose if they want to mute it or not. I am using sounds when mapmaking and I just use a SUPER SIMPLE program that reduces the size a huge amount. The name of the program is mp3tweak. Easy to use! try it ;D

Will you guys be using a DGUI coded inventory interface system?

we are not sure about the inventory yet so we would have to talk about it

devil1d could you send me your msn if you have one ?

about the showing of levels and skills i whas thinking about a multiboard that would look something like this easy paint drawing

you would have a level variable (array) and an exp variable (array)

with woodcutting you check if a tree dies you find the tree type give exp according to the type to the exp variable

every xxx seconds you check wether the variable is a xxx number and and ad 1 lvl to the lvl variable

wait so no one's working on the map at the moment ??
i stopped for a while on it after i finishd the floors
decided to try out some new ideas on the wild map some gaining some progress some wont be appropriate for multiplayer

Hmmm, are anyone presently doing something with the map, if not, then tell me! Just so I can start terrain the Structurs and buildings that is left to do on Lumbridge. And sorry for not being active for a time, you see that I had to visit my MOM -_-'' since it is my summer vacation and me parents are not together anymore. And the only thing I got by the place of mom is a "wooden" laptop that laggs all the time and the internett is shared to 3 computers and it is just a freaking CHIP! I COULD ONLY DOWNLOAD 20mb per HOUR!!!!! (sorry talking about mom). OK, please tell me if I can begin doing the rest then...

And if you need any help about skills I may come with a map I have given up on and the map contains woodcutting, mining, fire-making, farming. (There are alot of bugs there and not considered results). The map is mine just to let you know... ;D;D

I am not using the map and have not done anything either since I had to watch out for the House of my parents and clean everything up these past days and my grandparents is coming tomorrow and must prepare etc. Sorry, but the map is free for editing now.

hey guyz im interested in this project and want to help iv read most of the posts but could some one give me an update on what use have done so far and what is left to do then i will see what i can do to help

i do basic triggering (GUI that is)
terraining
spells
and a little more stuff just tell me what needs to be done and what is already done(so i can add suggestions) and ill see what i can do to help


iv seen alot of rs projects turn dead hopfully that doesent happen to this one.
this one is comming along well

my first suggestion so far is to update the first post

Hmmm, that would be great. But I think Devild1 has to answer what tasks you could do. And by the way, the Project runs off and on I think.

This isn't very bad, the concept itself is nice, however what I've seen from your screenshots isn't very good.
It's impossible to remake the runescape feeling in warcraft 3, however you can try something similar. This will require alot of work and I don't even know how you're going to do the following things :
-The skills;
-The 28 inventory-slot;
-The quests.

The conept is great though, I used to play Runescape in my free time 4 years ago, it was quite nice.

The skills will be very easy. A simple Spell Book with the skills on it. When an action is done it gives exp. Since changing text without replacing the acualy spell, a variable and trigger -checkexp cooking and -checkexpremaining cooking, and for inventory slot a 28 inventory space has been made by other people ive seen it for games that require equipting alot of items for gear. And quests will be simple. A trigger like -quests could give you a bunch of text of all the quests you can do, and such. ^^

I would love to participate in such an event of making a map of this magnitude and idealisim. I will do anything you want =)

i could have a go at makin the runes needed for the spells but i dunno are the runes just going to be items??

also im going to need info on the spells like what runes are needed for each spell

i know there is 4 levels for each element air, water, earth, fire but i dont know what runes are needed for each one ...
also are use going to have anceints ??
