"Oh?" Edge in his disguise wondered.
"Crap! You're good as caught." A voice said to Edge.
"To tell you honestly... none. I'm born an orphan and abandoned..." Edge replied to the drow. "Huhhh!!!????" The voice was very shocked.

"But who raised you?.Some house must have taken you in,else you wouldn't be sitting here alive and well"
He took a sip of ale before winking at the tavern wench

 

[Edge45]

"Heh, quite a curious one. Very well brother, unlike you, I was raised in a battle-worned town, I can't remember much, but there was blood everywhere, so much... I don't even know how I was born. I survived by scavenging and eating the dead's flesh." He took another drink.
"Ah, sorry for the grim talk. Anyway, what brings a veteran like you here?" He said.

The veteran looked suspiciously at him
"Sketchy story.How did you know I was a veteran by the way" he asked
He put his hand on his blade,but the tavern wench interrupted him
"Would you like something sir?" she asked with a smile
"Yes,a piece of that ass." he said and reached for her again
"I'm afraid that's unavailable sir.I could offer you our special drink of the day instead."
The veteran growled,but nodded
She handed him a mug filled with a orange-light brown fluid in it.
"Lolth's embrace.Made of the best Blue Montain Flower,water,sugar,and of course a ludicrous amount of alcohol" she said proudly
"That's some odd ingredients.But sounds great."He took it and greedily drank it all in a single swig
Shortly after,he grabbed for his throat,before falling over on the counter.The tavern was far to active to even notice.The tavern wench pulled a bag over his head and started dragging his body out the backdoor.
"Draug Un'shulac sends his regards" she says to Edge as she leaves the building with the veteran

"I see..." Edge finished the last of his drink. He went to an empty table nearest to a window. He took a peek with his arm above his eyes trying to cover it from light.
Afterwards he heads for the backdoor to have a talk with the female drow. "So, you know Draug?" He asked.

The tavern wench was no where to be seen,instead a female Onyx Spire member was attaching large rocks to the neck of the captain,before throwing him in the river.
She then looked at Edge
"Of course I know my master,General Edge" she grinned at him and walked closer.
"Would you like something sir?" she said,in the same voice as she used for the wench

"Of course I know my master,General Edge" she grinned at him and walked closer.

"I see."

"Would you like something sir?" she said,in the same voice as she used for the wench

"A bottle of the best drink here and a way to escape from this city." Edge takes a cigarette and smoked. Whether the Onyx Spire member answered or not, Edge would reply with a "Very well." Followed by
"While the city's on lockdown, I won't be leaving too early."

By the way, I need to take more rest - my body is not as good as it used to be. Plus, I am busy with real life, so I will not be able to come here often.

But I'll try my best to take some of my free time here, to spend time with you guys~

After a while,she came out with a bottle of rare mead and handed it to Edge,before telling him to follow her

@WhiteFang: As for my characters, yes, their active magics and flying skills can be disabled in some cases, but some passive skills such as resistance, affinity and immortality will remain no matter what.

Huge hands came out of the fire pit and grabbed the santas.Extreme pain of burning was inflicted on them,and they soon burned to death. GDI forces scream and cringe at the horrifying scene of their beloved Santas melting into ashes. They couldn't believe it. All they felt was despair and fear.

Most of the GDI forces were beginning to lose their will...

Strangely enough,they still looked alive. "W.... What??? T... this can't be???"
What the others could not see however,was that their souls where being transported into the pit of fire

The Santas' souls all begin to morph and transform into Ice Ghosts, which would then attempt to launch a few bolts of freezing frost at the Valsharess. As far as it went, the first few ice bolts were somewhat likely to be successful, don't know if the pit of fire would melt the ice or not?

Before anything rose from the earth, all GDI forces desperately try to slaughter the Drows and attempt to flee away in fear.
However, all of a sudden, their bullets and lasers stopped working. The air filters and oxygen tanks in their suits stopped, all communication devices were also shut down. "Was?!?!" The GDI troops and mechs stopped shining, and all of them are now stuck within their armors.

Thanks to the... large pillar with a huge pink gem rouse from the ground in the center of the city.After the gigantic structure was fully out of the ground,it emitted pink waves which disable all tech and magic in the city that did not originate from the Drow.

A few drow troops came out and attempted to stop him and the Deroc
"Trying to feed me, eh?" Deroc mocked the 'stupid' Drows, "C'mon, the more the merrier! Soulless backstabbers with butchered brains!"

Deroc rose up his palms and shooted rains of spiky crystals at the Drows. However, the crystals decay way faster than normal and when they finally hit the Drows, it was only a fraction of the spikes. "Strange. I could feel my magic weakening... or was I just too sleepy? Never mind."

Deroc took his Staff of Supremacy and rose it up high, conjuring a beam of arcane laser bouncing from Drow to Drow. As the arcane energies hit the Drows, they began to burn on magical flames but strangely however, they did not die immediately and seemed to be well and okay. Looks like the spell was made by a normal mortal wizard...

The Cakemaster was greatly disappointed. "Damn, what is happening to me now? My magics... they are waning and weakening... hmph."

After heaving a sigh, he continued mumbling to himself, "I sense something... elusive. It's strangely familiar..."
He then lifted his head up and hopped backwards in shock. A large pillar with a huge pink gem rose from the ground in the center of the city.After the gigantic structure was fully out of the ground,it emitted pink waves which disable all tech and magic in the city that did not originate from the Drow.

Even if Deroc was not directly in the city, however, the town was close enough to the giant pillar. The pink field was so wide enough to disrupt and weaken some of Deroc's active magics, but not his resistance, affinity and immortality.

"This tower... is strange. Is this NullMagic?"

Edge didn't drink the given mead, but he put it his backpack inside his cloak. He followed the Onyx Spire member in disguised.

He pulled out TBoTBK and incinerated the drows with lazers from it.

The Onyx Spire member turned around and looked at Edge again.
"Are you up for some sabotage?.Besides,that huge tower will be problematic to our forces.It will be best if we disable it or damage it in some way,along with some important buildings" she said.

Seeing that their powerful Santas were annihilated with ease was already a major blow to the GDI's trembling morale. Now, even the Ice Ghosts were taken care of. A few of the GDI troops could take it no longer and bowed before the Valsharess, crying and shivering in fear.
The Valsharess grinned at them and slowly started killing some of them with lighting bolts.Each time one of them died,she would cry from laughter. Half of the cowardly GDI forces surrendered themselves before the Valsharess, while the other half desperately try to flee themselves away from the mess.

A concerned Deroc replied, "Do we have any possible way to take that thing out? Nearly all of my troops were powered with energy equipments. Fleenzub Fighters would do nothing... do you have any saboteurs that can take care of it? Though I highly doubt we can do anything about it"

"Oh... a Gem of the depths" Gabriel said looking at the null magic tower "It would rather seem they were expecting us..." Gabriel took a small breath "Holy: Alive detection"
A shock wave of dim light would emite from her and move to all the town fast, though it would pass unharmed through everyone
"So. the account. Currently there are 25000 living beings here. 12000 from those are fell orcs, the other 10000 are dwellers of the underworld and the rest 3000 is splited among demons and a few humans. from all this around 5000 are wounded. I think originally we were 30000? seems like 5000 orcs and underground dwellers died during the battle..." Gabriel finished taking note of all this "Now that the drows have an advantage, I will have an excuse to evacuate everyone..."
Gabriel moved out with a worried face to the nearest rune she had drawn
"Holy: escape of the innocent" She said touching the rune
The rune would glow, and all other runes would start glowing as well. Slowly, all non-demon blood mortals would start to shine. They will teleport any minute now. Maybe de GDI get's lucky and they get saved?

"Don't mind if I do. So where do we start?"
Edge asked.

In the village where Argoshar and Deroc's clone are, a metallic bird flew there in front of Argoshar. "Hey, it's Edge, this is voicemail... -error- ..." A voice of Edge spoke from the bird, but was suddenly interrupted...
"*aham* I'm that fool's companion. I bring information of what has happened within the Drow capital. My companion has infiltrated the city itself and has made contact with one of your spies. Besides that, they're planning to infiltrate the tower that you are able to see here, the one that emits powers that can make magic or technology useless.
He asks when will you make your move?"
The bird spoke again, this time with the bird's original voice.

The GDI troops had no luck,and were cut down by drow that were stationed in the palace.
The Valsharess was pleased by this,and dragged their corpses to the fire where their souls were also consumed.
A strange black glow came from the pit of fire.A chilling could be heard whispering "Cakemaster"

Fenrir walked up behind them
"I don't know about that Lord Agroshar.What if the plan doesn't work?"
"It's a risk we have to take.I don't want to risk sending our armies in,only for the Valsharess to pull another trap and kill them all"

The holy magic did not go unnoticed by the Drow and soon their mages tracked the magic.
The mages,along with 2 battalions of Drow troops,set off towards Gabriel.When they arrived,the crossbowmen would fire upon her,while the mages started disabling the runes.

Trying to finish this drow part a bit quicker.
Just to make sure,I do have you guys' permission to kill your characters temporarily and send them off to some afterlife realm where they will have to liberate their souls,right?

At the same time, all mortals non-demonic related people got teleported to the church of light.
You may decide if this affects fenrir or not

@Paillan: wait, I thought the Drows cancelled Gabriel's spell and ambushed her?
P.S. by "all mortals non-demonic related people", do you also include the Drows too?

Also, I think we can exclude the Pherithians and cake minions because they are too far away from the battle. They are busy building their stuffs back in the Obsidian Hills

Unfortunately for them, nearly all of the GDI forces inside were slaughtered and obliterated by the Valsharess and her Drows. What would go to the Church of Light would be heavily wounded, handicapped troops with missing body parts and all of them stuck in dysfunctional heavy suits.

Due to the Second Cakemaster Deroc being far away, and the sounds of clashing swords and bullets distorting the environment, he could not hear it.

However, the remaining six GDI survivors had heard of this before getting teleported to the Church.
The survivors would first let out a deep cry and tremble in fear, before finally calming down and speak to any angel or saint. (@Paillan)

"Are you an angel? Or a priest? Please, please, help us please, and let us get out of these... suits!"
Only after the GDI survivors were rescued, would they talk about the chilling whispering "Cakemaster". And of course they would ask who is this "Cakemaster".

Yep, but the couple - Mistress Goh and Chee Wah would be exempt because they are not in the Underdark. They are on Planet Earth.

Now I will then the wounded"

@Directive255 in the mortal standard go any living creature that can die of ageing or similar natural causes. So for example while a fenix can reborn itself infinite times, there's a chance they die if the egg is broken or destroyed, so they would be considered mortal. Angels are an exception to this rule, as they technically, age but won't die of it.
The term innocent is trickier though. For gabriel it's pretty much everyone that a) doesn't have a connection to the underdark b) doesn't have a connection with the demons.
That's why GDI got lucky.

We must prepare to defend this church, luckly we are on a mountain" Gabriel stand up as she finished healing everyone, even people that had lost parts of their bodies "Humans" She said solemnly "you were brough here because you deserved better. Now. Now our enemies threaten to destroy this paradise of light and finish you off. I won't force you to fight. Should you want to leave, there's a stair to the surface. But if you want to bring light and hope to this world... stay with me!" Gabriel finished her speech

Something suddenly alerted him and he started looking around quickly
"I sense something....familiar.Where is Fenrir?!" he asked

Fenrir and Aphrodite had decided to go for a walk in a nearby cave.The cave felt oddly empty.
Suddenly,they noticed a cloaked figure sitting down on n rock near them.There was a eerie black glow surrounding it
Fenrir took a step back. "Who are you?" he asked slowly
The thing looked at them and in a deep,chilling and raspy voice said "A birthday gift"
Fenrir realized that it was his birthday.He had barely remembered this,when the creature was suddenly standing up straight and threw the boulder at him at a great speed.It crushed Fenrir's entire upper body.
Aphrodite was shocked and horrified at the same time.She did not have chance to recover,as the creature appeared before her.
"Good night sweet hart.Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite" he said as he drove a dagger into her throat and sliced it open for cheek to cheek.
She collapsed on the ground,blood still squirting out of her neck.
A voice could be hear whispering "Edge"

I see. The Cakemaster is actually friends with Abaddon's Fury, and he rules over Pherith aka "Peryath", so does that mean Pherithians who swore loyalty to Cakemaster aren't "innocent"?

The GDI forces paused into a moment of deep silence for a moment as they were thinking about it...
Would they leave for their cowardice and survival? But then if they left, then they would owe Gabriel a favor and debt...

Since Gabriel saved them, and Gabriel held the powers to heal someone, then they thought there is nothing to worry about. They owe her very much. Also, she's way nicer and better than their former bosses. One of the GDI soldiers rose up slowly and raised his hand, "I stay. We owe you a favor, and we were meant to be the vanguard of light and hope! Not some test subjects and slaves to the corrupt aristocrats and mad scientists! Yes, I will stay with you, to bring light to this underworld!"

After a moment of hesitation, then followed by heartwarming and tears, all of them agreed to stay with Gabriel

Yuri will surely come in, just minutes before the Underdark's end...

"You shouldn't underestimate her Deroc.She is no weakling,she would kill you in single combat." Agroshar said
Deroc let out a laugh of pride, before replying, "Really? She's just a normal handicapped girl, she isn't big enough like Azlariah and Sedusa--"
Something suddenly alerted him and he started looking around quickly
"Wait?" Deroc asked, surprised by Argoshar's reaction. "What's wrong?"
"I sense something....familiar.Where is Fenrir?!" he asked
"I... I don't k-know, let's send an illusion of mine over there to look around?"

And so Deroc conjured a solid illusion and sent it to look around nearby. It didn't take his clone a few minutes to reach the cave where Fenrir and Aphrodite were in. However, the clone's shocked by the sight. Fenrir and Aphrodite were down!

The real Deroc immediately said, "Argoshar! Argoshar! Fenrir and Aphrodite are down! In the cave nearby!"

Upon arriving,the two's skins have turned into a liquid goo,and their skeletons were entirely black.Their eyes were hollow,and one could only assume it melted along with the skin.A eerie black glow surrounded their chests

"This is unfortunate" he said."I have a feeling I know what is behind this.We must stop The Valsharess as soon as possible"

"Agreed." Deroc said, "We must act as soon as possible." he then paused for a moment as he pondered into his thoughts. "By the way, should I bring along my elite cakes too? Don't worry, I have a way to summon them when we get there,"

"Fair enough." Edge replied. As soon as they entered to the empty room.
"Agreed, I have a feeling..." Edge whispered.
In his mind; "Crimson, get The Heart ready, I ask you to prepare a defense for it." He said. "Whatever happens to you I don't care, but you better return with that body." A voice replied. "Heh, we'll have a cut of contact then, till we talk again Crimson." Edge said in return.
Edge then armed with Bladefast and his left hand ready to arm the scythe.

Edge then felt that black presence. "You notice something?" He asked to the woman.

"I thought I felt a small bit of a presence but I must be imagining things.The presence reminds me of The Soul Harvester,a ancient devil who collected the souls of mortals and took them to the 16 Hells.It is rumored that you can summon him to your service for a while to murder and steal the souls of your enemies if you provide him with at least 500 soul sacrifices"
She stopped and thought for a while.
"Oh no.....that would explain why the Valsharess was suddenly enslaving so many,and buying slaves from the Illithid."

 

[Edge45]

"The Soul Harvester? ... damn, in otherwords a demonic reaper, I've fought such beings before, but it seems this time is an ancient one..." Edge said. "That presence... we better keep moving."

"Mind sharing a swig of that mead with me?" she asked

As soon as he noticed the tower deactivating and heard Directive he swam back to the shore.
"Ok,this is it." he said
He then transformed them both into rats and teleports them to the tavern Edge and the Onyx Spire member was in.

"Very well." Edge took the bottle, a small glass and filled it with the mead. "Here." He gave the glass to the woman, he also poured one for himself.

She took the glass and smiled again.
"Thank you" she said,before lifting the glass slightly and saying "cheers"
She then downed the glass in a single swig.

 

[Edge45]

Seems rather suspicious

"Cheers" Edge said... but before the glass could touch his mouth for him to drink. He stopped, with his face having a suspicious feeling.

Rat Deroc uses telepathy with Argoshar.

Rat Agroshar responded with "We should try and find Edge,then transform him into a rat as well.Then we can go to the 'little girl'
He started walking towards the open door and looked around.He noticed the tower and started rushing towards it

Rat Deroc followed Rat Argoshar, rushing toward the tower

Rat Agroshar sniffed around the tower
"I sense that the same thing that killed Aphrodite and Fenrir was here.I hope it has not gotten Edge" he said
He looked around and saw Edge and his Onyx Spire member
"Found them" he said to Rat Deroc

Rat Deroc used telepathy with Edge, warning him of the danger, "Be careful, an assassin is close to you, Edge! Edge?"

Rat Deroc would then turn to Rat Argoshar,

"Ah well, it's not that I don't trust you, it's just many would put something in a drink without being known they're dangerous. Oh well, forgive me." Edge said, so he drinks the mead.
Later while, rats which are Deroc and Argoshar found them both. "Eh? Oh yes, Cakemaster and Demon Lord, the tower's down. Credits to this lady."
As soon as the word assassin was said, "Eh?! Assassin, you mean..."

Rat Agroshar face pawed."It's not her,no.It's the Harvester.The Valsharess has bound him to her service.We must deal with her quickly."
He then looked at the female Onyx Spire Member."Good work here today.You are free to return to the base and relax.I will discuss a reward for your service later"
She nodded."Thank you my lord." she did a light bow."and good luck to you." She glanced at Edge one more time before slipping away into the shadows
"I dare say she has a crush on you general.BUHWAHAHA!.Anyhow,enough of this time wasting"
He transformed Edge into a rat as well.

Deroc listened as Argoshar spoke. "Whass?! The so-called 'Harvester'?" Rat Deroc would then silently giggle in amusement and pride, "Seriously? A simple Harvester can do nothing besides mining Tiberium..."

"Wait..." Deroc paused for a moment as realization dawned upon him, "I don't see any trucks here? Did you mean something else?"

When Argoshar told Edge about the girl spy having a crush on Edge, Rat Deroc let out silent laughters while making funny noises.
