Dear God, Republicans. Mit(t?) Romney just called Bush's war liberal spending. Technically by definition yes, Bush was liberal with taxpayer money, but it was not liberal (relatively) politicians that were backing that spending. And then a few minutes later he said something about not needing a "big brother" government. Like how the Republicans (read: conservatives, not liberals) authorized the Homeland Security Act, where your phones can be tapped, your house search, and yourself detained with only probable cause, and not a warrant?

Politicians are politicians, and I'm far from a shining paradigm of honesty, but this is literally backwards. It's disgusting, and then it's pitiable that he's actually rallying people with the opposite of the truth.

When the hell did we start caring what Mitt (2 t's) Romney has to say?

1.) He's from Boston.
2.) He's from Boston.
3.) He's from Boston.

He has no credibility as a Republican.

Another point, George Bush and his Douche-bag Neo-con movement need to get the fuck out of politics.

George Bush is hardly a Republican anymore and he ruined the name. Now all that retards around the world think when they hear Republican is "warmonger". I hate that and I hate the douche-bags who made it like that.

Republican means small Federal Government and more States Rights and the party, as a whole, needs to wake the fuck up and realize that or get the fuck out.

Yeah, as it's airing, it's ending up not so much "Dear God, Republicans" as much as "Dear God, Mitt Romney" after all. I would like to formally apologize for that. Guliani's speech is going good (a little bit of what's wrong with them/how we fix it, and lots of what Republicans bring to the table), and Huckabee's was great (why Republicans are great). Romney's was horrible (why they're bad, and why else they're bad), and I'm in the process of forgiving the RNC.

Hmm, I wish I could be watching it.

I forgot to bring my TV to school >.> I feel naked without it.

Was Romney seriously a speaker? God..

He said that accounting for inflation, the budget was twice as high as the 60s or something because of liberal spending. That's the actual wording that he used, even though the budget deficit is huge because of Bush. Didn't Clinton actually at least balance the budget while in office? He also said that the citizens want less government, not a "big brother" government. He blamed that on the liberals too, and forgot to mention that it was conservatives that enacted the HSA, where they can tap your phones and detain you with only probable cause. Left a nasty aftertaste that Huckabee washed away very nicely.

That's absolutely horrendous. One reason I'm glad he is not the Republican nominee or the VP candidate. So many people were for him and I just didn't understand it.

Politicians like him are not needed. From either party.

I would have liked Hukabee, except that him being a former pastor would have gotten in the way of actually dealing with issues.

EDIT: And Guiliani's campaign was the worst run campaign ever.

Well, the opening act is allowed to be worse than the ones following it, isn't it? They probably read the speeches beforehand, and Romney spoke first for a reason. Palin's speech is going nicely, btw.

That's true :)

Also, I heard that it was. I was talking to another friend who was watching it :(

It seems as though I'm the only one who's not.

Politicians lie and cheat to gain power in our government. We place too much power in the people. We need to place more power to those in authority.

I mean, we created a bicameral legislature to represent the people equally. Why don't we actually represent the people on important matters? I mean, less than 50% of Americans over 18 vote anyway.

You know, if the Republicans win and McCaine becomes P (with Palin as VP) I would think they shall concentrate barely on the economy and more on 'terrorist countries'.

From my point of view, there even shall be no America at all around 2012 when it's a warcountry again.

Again? I'd rather see McCain/Palin in office than Obama/Biden. I like the Obama/Biden policies more (like, I hate the summer gas tax break. WHERE the hell is that money going to come from for the duration?), but I'd rather have McCain/Palin in a crisis.

Also does anyone know who Guam voted for at the RNC? Did they use all 9 of their votes?

I noticed that at the McCaine speeches that there are only rich texans there.

And another thing:
Palin sucks at reading, even while wearing glasses, your Obama said he'll lower the taxes, she said he's going to raise them. Like how high? Those who were present during her speech looked rich and all so why do they have to complain?

Bush is the best thing that has ever happened to America. He's a great president, and you people should show him respect. His hard work keeps our country safe from terrorists.

I'm not sure who's worse. Liberals and conservators... bah. What other parties are there beside Republicans and Democrats, over there?

P.S. as neutral-hostile spectator, according to the news I hear from America, Obama is the most probable winner. Although i don't like him much.

At the moment, McCain's winning because of the whole pity thing for being in the POW camp. Not to mention only old people vote (stupid young people busy with their pot and their crack!) and he gets mad popularity with them.

The only thing I like about Obama though is his smile...

You fail

Everyone, don't turn this thread into another piece of shit argument. Make your own thread for that.

There are a plethora of political parties. But Republican and Democrats, over the past century, have been the largest.

They've actually been the longest running parties in our nation's history. Which, I think, is a bad thing.

I guess I'll shut the hell up.

I was just speaking generally.

Wasn't directed at anyone in particular. It just happens that every time there's any sort of political discussion some shithead (doesn't matter who, sometimes even myself) ruins it for others.

I just didn't want that to happen again.

Rebublican Politicians...

Back stabbing, lying, horrid economics, issue diverting, stupid, reckless, barons, reverse robin-hoods, twisters of the faith, manipulators of the faithful, and destructive towards humanity.

That essentially sums them up...for the majority.

I see neither happening. We might be able to force a "get the fuck out" though.
I'd rather see McCain/Palin in office than Obama/Biden.
Lesser of two evils?
No love for the libertarians?
No love period.
Only Republicans?
Steal my words.

I don't think it'd be wise to trust anyone, running for or in, any office, at all, whatsoever.

...Except Ron Paul. But he's not perfect because he's not preaching ana... Fine I'll go, no need to throw stuff.

Only Republican I've ever supported was Abraham Lincoln.

Seriously, if we have to endure another Republican, they better have Lincoln or some other good Republican as their role model.

Donut's pretty on track.

Lincoln was the first ever Republican. So I guess you could say before him it was always Democrat vs. Democrat. Even though technically the groups didn't exist during Washington's time.

The thing is, most of the world want Obama as the US president. Most of the world know that, should Americans pick McCain as the next prez, it'll mean that they actually like Bush and that he won fair and square the last elections.

My parents were Hillary supporters, and they like McCain's policies better than Obama's. As a matter of fact, if I could vote, I would vote for McCain just to spite people that say not voting for Obama is racist.

I love how people not from USA think they actually know whats going on.
Seriously if you are not from USA you might want to back up your claims with actual evidence instead of propaganda you have heard from news sources and morons that do not understand what a republican or a democrat is in the USA.

Seriously there is nothing more annoying than hearing kids trying to act mature by reciting what some asshole has spouted to them... even more so when they are not even from the country and they think know anything about what is truly going on inside it. I suggest you stop spending your time with all the propaganda surrounding USA and look at your own countries. Your jealousy is astounding.

As for the comment about anarchy... if you truly knew what anarchy is you would not want it in the slightest.

i Don't want Obama to win because i don't want to be around when America gets taken over, especially by Iraq. if Obama wins sure he will look at the economy but we will get a nuclear bomb put off over our heads by Iraq that creates an EMP the size of the US practically destroying the entire US is a matter of seconds. in short Obama is going to get us all killed. I don't want America to turn into an Obamanation.

as a side note: Obamas closest supporters call him the Masiah, i think that's just wrong.

I'm not really for McCain I'm just against Obama.
