is there a way to remove a player without using the defeat-trigger?

i want to use a dialog which lets the player choose to retry or to leave and i dont want the defeat-dialog to appear after clicking on "leave".

You could also win the player, although it is still better to just RemovePlayer().

That is because you obviously have not done it correctly. Understand the JASS syntax and you will see you are probably doing something that makes no sense at all.
