You've read it right folks, a sand-box type game, in which a player will decide the outcome of the game (quests)...
Map style goes like this, transition of the campaign will be based on the player's choice, for example;
A player may decide to kill a furbolg or not;
Yes - triggers a quest to kill an arch enemy of the furbolg (furbolg now is your ally and will help you in the next maps)
No - triggers a defense type game, furbolg leader will hunt you down in next maps
