Hey there.

Me and yohobofire have been working on this project for some time now. We call it "Everwood". We both want this game to be as unique as possible.
See progres at my signature

The map is many features.

  • An advanced camera system which allows the player to control the camera by pressing (or holding) down the arrow keys and change angle by using the mouse scroll
  • A unique equipment system, that includes the use of a spellbook
  • An attachment system that makes the item equipped, with the equipment system, display themself on the hero
  • Items that lies on the ground, looks like themself with a rotation effect and a sparcle effect, so we wont see the ugly blizzard chest anywhere
  • Lots of custom spells
  • Lots of quests (not the borring ones)
  • A storyline (not writen 100% yet)
  • Arena with PvP or normal monster fighting
  • Crafts like fishing, smithing, skinning etc.
  • Abilities that increase with stats like strenght, agility, inteligence, level, craft level etc.
  • An advanced hero selection system

That's all the features for now. We still have lots of features in mind, but none of them are decided.

Yohobofire has been trying to make the terrain as realistic as possible. Everything is thought down to last detail, because we want the players to think "Wow, amazing, this is good. Very good!".

Both of us suck at modelling, animating etc. so we're recruiting 2 modellers for this project. As a modeller you will mostly be making weapons, armors, shields and helmets for the attachment system, but you'll also be making amulets, rings etc. that's will be displayed on the ground.

It's hard to use a chest attachment for heroes, therefor we only use 1 hero, using different skin.

No we only used some imports from UTM.

Btw thanks for the words... =),

I have just finished the basics of the hero selection. You toogle between the heroes using up and down arrow key, and then you press Esc to choose the current shown hero. Then the hero spawn and the systems are applied to the hero. Screenshots coming soon.

We only need 2 modellers to make attachments. But if you have any ideas of features or similiar, then you can just write at this thread and if we like them, then we could use them in the map. You will be credited for this.

Sorry for double posting...

Now the equipment system and attachment system works with each other, and the hero selection system is done.

Most of the systems are in place now, and we also have most of the icons.

Yohobofire just finished the equipment system icons, except the amulet.

The map is like halfways finish.

this map looks really good, i love the equipment system you arent using the one off this site are you?, or is it the one thats on this site other then that looks really good cant wait 2 play.

Sry for double posting...

hey there. We have an update for the camera system. You can now use the mouses scroll to "scroll". You have fully controll of the camera and you can view from all possible angles.

Also there will soon come more ingame screenshots at yohobofires gallery at wc3campaigns.

Looks really good guys, cant wait for it.
You know, there should be sum kind of single-player gameplay thing. idk where thats going, but i think it would be cool to have in your game

yea, or maybe sum extra single-player-only quests or sumthing. extra features that only if playing on one player could they do, maybe like having the ability to SAVE/LOAD YOUR CHARACTER which you can only get the code by playing by yourself. stuff like that.

We have a feature in mind called 'Single Quests' (or something...), where the different players have their own progress in the quests, meaning one player have maybe completed it, another player is in the middle of it, and a third player hasn't even started it.

And save/loading is only enabled if more than 2 players are playing.
