In the past "spam-self rating" of submitted resources was a constant problem. Ralle therefore disabled the ability to rate each individual resources more than once (by each individual user, of course).

The ability to rate one's own resources was disabled entirely when he created the new resource sections. Few resource submitters possess objective views of their own creations so ratings are now determined by resource moderators and the community at-large, discounting the author's own viewpoint.
