Its an idea been discussed multiple times before. I would still like to see other race icons, even if they are varied every few weeks, just for something different.

No, I mean I can make a Stylish thingy that will turn all peons into acolytes/wisps/peasants etc. You'll still be the same rank. This just changes the picture.

There used to be a lot of different styles to choose from, but they were all removed thinking that we would have 1 style for each supported game. But then the WoW support never really got started after all and it's too early to launch the Sc2 support, so there's just 1 skin.

Well the flags being replaced is mostly for my benefit, as it is easier to make the icon without dealing with the flags. However the badges will look cool that's for certain.

And I'll show WIPS before they are implemented ofc.

We already have text descriptions of the moderators, so a special symbol isn't really necessary. Flag fits fine

The flags are the more difficult part of icon making.

The badges are not so much for practical use as a "recognition statement" but more as an aesthetic addition, and practical aid for myself. As it will be easier to make a template this way, and easier to make the icons more enjoyable.

As I can create an icon, and then place hundreds of different badges in the flag spot, and if need be, create a new flag.

Besides...the flags while neat, could use a revamp.

The flags are from WC3 though, and seeing as this is a WC3 modding site, not Elenai's art site, we should keep the flags.

After the normal ones are made you can make ones with elves, for all I care, and then modify the Stylish script for that.

I'd use two images for display:

1. Icon: Peon, grunt, raider, acolyte, crypt fiend, wisp....
2. Flag: Red, blue, teal, purple... The players colors.

Then users would select their race and color.

Acolytes seem a bit too epic for the people who are essentially peons. I'm thinking Ghoul. Ignore their abilities and statistics. Realistically peons are dumb, Ghouls are mindless. Peons are idiotic, acolytes are geniuses.

Ghouls at least have some power.

And you could say that Acolytes are "mindless followers" of the undead...
