Hello there. So, I've started a new project just named simply Siege of Wyrmrest Temple.
I've got a lot of things I want to keep in mind while making this project so let's start explaining how it goes.

MAP INFO
So, I appeared to be bored and little timeless so I started making this project. I wasn't really considering it a project for first couple of weeks but then it start growing and realizing I'm making it better I decided to continue it and post it on the hiveworkshop. The map is 5 man raid which was meant to be online playable but when I realized what size it had to be, I kinda retreated from that tought for a while now. More of the features will be in features section


FEATURES
Main feature is that this is multiplayer map. Alpha version is singleplayer at the moment but it will be multiplayer. Each player controls 1 hero. In total, there is 1 tank, 1 heal and 3 dps + 4 unique DS Bosses.. Each boss in this particular Dragon Soul raid is being blizzliked as best as possible by our developers and we're doing our best to release first alpha project.
ADVANCED FEATURES
As well as any other, this map contains Advanced features that will be added in the map. List of the advanced features will be listed.

DEADLY BOSS MODS
We've been thinking a lot of my time should we implement such featured system in the map. Well, we will. The DBM System will contain each boss warning anytime boss hurls an ability at player or casts something. Simply said, whenever boss casts something, you will get a warning on middle left side of your game screen. There will be a command that will run it 'tho -- which is /DBMA.

Damage Show System
As usual... it's normal to have Damage show system in WoW, so why not implement 1 in this raid as well? Well, we will implement it in early alpha so players that will test the alpha will have something to be happy to play for.

Dungeon Journal System
Well, we will add this new dungen journal system because we feel like players will wipe simply more than 5 times without knowing the base boss mechanics and we will add a little dungeon journal in questing and a command that will display the whole encounter on your screen for 3 mins. or 'til you text clear it (command for text clear is /clear).

Sound effects
Not to neglect much things, we've been thinking of adding real WoW sound of how each spell should sound like. We're not trough with this system yet and might not implement it. Your call.

Camera System
Now, we've also been thinking. Will WoW-like camera system be good for the map? How will keyboard moving affect the whole concept of the map. Well we do not know. If you think it's good, let us know.

That indoor terrain impress me. Somehow, the outdoor isn't that nice. I think it was bit empty.

If you're reffering to snowy terrain, then I fully agree with you. The Maws are also a bit sucky without proper tileset but most of the "path of the titans" is covered just in snow so, we don't know yet. Our terrain leader is still looking for tilesets. With WoW camera system we could lead in, terrain would be barely noticeable, 'tho this is alpha. We've alredy reviewed that terrain is in early shape so you're gonna have to wait for BETA to send real feedbacks. This one is also appreciated as well.:ogre_haosis:

If you got an idea as to what should we add to improve terrain, we'll gladly accept as long as it's filling with the "Path of the titans" terms.

I've made the whole Dragon Soul hosted on Warcraft Underground. It didn't work out well as I stucked on Spine of Deathwing renders and its no longer active project.

This one was mainly for multiplayer mode. The alpha is coming out tomorrow. Hopefully something. Then, I'll start adjusting BETA that should take 4-7 days max. After that, the content is ready for 1 final test and upload.

Thanks for the encouragement and we'll do our best to finish it asap as these kinds of projects don't take long when they're under heavy development.

Alpha released:

Alpha's boss priorities:

Nonblizzlike boss mechanics:

Morchok:
- Morchok doesn't cast Crush Armor on Tank.
- To destroy Resonating Crystal, just destroy it -- you do not need to stand by it and wait. After crystal explodes, it deals AOE damage which is blizzlike.

Warlord Zon'ozz:
- Void of the Unmaking diffuses either at boss or the wall (wipe).
- Phase 2 channels whenever Void hits the boss and resets only 1 stack of Focused Anger from the boss.

Yor'sahj the Unsleeping:
- Yor'sahj doesn't use Fusing Vapor after 1 globule dies.

Hagara the Stormbinder:
- Hagara doesn't cast Ice Tomb at all.
- Hagara doesn't cast Icicle during the Ice Wave Phase.
- In order to end Lightning phase, you need to drag bound lightning elementals to the Conductors, then they explode along with the Conductor.

Major alpha info:
Cheating isn't allowed. All of the nonblizzlike mechanics will probably be added 'til BETA and I've used mediafire link for download because I feel safer.

Alpha is a singleplayer version. If we pull out BETA without bugs (which is singleplayer test mode), then you can keep BETA, because there won't be any changes but multiplayer.

Alpha is singleplayer. You can try to tag down bugs if there are any so we can fix it and proceed with the developing.

The map itself has huge size and will not be battle.net or garena playable unless if there is a way to compress 120 MB to 8 only which is impossible, or to upload it with gigantic size.

Anyway know it is correlated to have 90 mb maps and to make wc3 lags on an more than 12 years old computer.

Sometimes, we wish we could've done better with the size, but all of the models you see do take a lot of space and we will try to do a cleanup for models we do not use so we can release some space and make map perform better without any lags or crashes.

At the moment, this is alpha. As I've said, not much is expectable. As soon as I find any tools to compress my map size and delete useless stuff, I will do it. If you guys got any suggestions as to what tool should I use, let me know.

Mat, sorry, no cheating. I'd also appreciate if you try test it without it. That way we can proceed the development.

By the way, thanks for the rep Andrea. I appreciate it. :)

I downloaded the map and copied it into wc3 maps folder

but ingame it doesnt show the map in the map inventory
any idea?

Try to shorten the pathway because if it is too much huge (like BURESZRFD\QSDRFSRFSREDTRRTFD\Warcraft 3\Maps\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\another\€isma$sretrsefxfxdv)
It will not display in wc3 so remove some characters in the name of the map and things of this kind but it can be another problem.

| Double post there is more that two post made by the same user with less that 48
| hours of interval for fixing just edit your second post and add the content of the first v then delete the old one

It works for me.

I just simply moved it in Maps, not "Maps --> Downloads" or anything. Just maps It doesn't work to me 'tho when I put it in Downloads so try that. Put it in maps, or Idk.

Actually, this is the only map I had perfected and 90% WoW similar.

I've made tons of other raids such as Throne of Thunder (only 1st 3 bosses), Siege of Orgrimmar, Molten Core, AQ, Ragefire, and bunch of other raids but aren't perfected.

So, far, I had to work on them alone, my team helps me only with Siege of Wyrmrest Temple.

18 mb is not really that big for an SRPG imo, considering SRPG nowadays had bunch of MBs and it's not like people care about it anyway, as long as it's matching with the quality.

Anyway, cool updates, looking forward to checking it out.

I still need some details... well for 4 of them... without them, map is not perfected and I don't think it can be good. Surprising, I never tought 4 details can make map extra.

However, I'll do my best to finish it, and fix bugs, terrain dev did its job, now its up to our recruiter dev. :ogre_haosis:

Last Changelog. The map is almost finished. 98% of the work is done. All of the bugs listed were fixed.

- Questing Journal grammatic errors fixed.
- Ressurect message spawn corrected.
- Another Blizzard description change and tweak.
- Game Interface attack icons change.
- Game Interface Quest, Log, Menu, "No Upkeep" message changes.
- All of the Rogue spells had a cooldown nerf by 35%.
- Fixed the Stealth debuff becoming stackable via Crit Strike.
- Concussive Shot spell effect delay by 1.5 seconds.
- Explosive Shot description change and tweaks.
- Summon Pet description change and tweak on wolf.
- Explosive Shot now increases 1 agility per each hit given.

- Why does the rogue spawn near Morchok while the other heroes spawn at the entrance?
+ Once again, the Wyrmrest-members around the temple fight against the faceless ones/etc.
- And again, no QWER keybinds.

At Morchok

+ Custom sounds.
+ Love how you maked the "Black Blood of the Earth".
- The lightning from the Crystals doesnt follow their target.

Overall: Pretty easy boss fight, like the real one.



Little Note: First i thought this boss is well scripted..until i noticed that i dont need to throw the void back at him, it just fly away and stands still, making the entire fight to a Patchwerk-styled battle. (Tried again, it looks like the first one never bugs, but the voids after them bugged for me)

- Not so well scripted like the first boss.
- So far the easiest boss (See the note)
- Hagara's portal was open after killing Zon'ozz. (Didnt killed Yor'sahj)

Overall: Boring boss after the first void.



Note: A bug makes him more of an optional boss, since he isnt needed to get to Hagara.

- No Void Bolts (or no random-targeting of them)
- Shadowed Globule is a forced kill, unlike the others. This somehow takes the freedom to choose the globules to kill. (I mean, we got 2-3 damamge-only globules and this one just wipes the raid)
- If you stun a Globule, it walks toward the boss like usual but then it just stands there doing nothing. (Making it possible to never get a globule to the boss. Patchwerk 2.0 here)

Overall: Stun OP, nerf please.



- Bugged Dungeon Journal entry (It always shows the last viewed "quest info")
+ Atleast she and Morchok does damage.
- Why end the storm phase...If you just can auto attack her again? :D (Not invurable)

Nah, i want to be fair so i gonna do the storm phase like its supposed to be.

- Her damage is unbalanced like hell. You're at half your health and suddenly the tank gets 1-shotted. Her other attacks nearly do nothing. (That isnt hard, thats just a boring way to make a boss "harder", lets call it Fake Difficulty)
- Lighting Phase is unbeatable. (I read in one of your topics you need to kite a elemental to the crystal and kill it. Nothing happens if i do it. Btw, such stuff should be self-explainable in a boss fight, no ones wants to be forced to read a dungeon journal)

Overall: Hagara has earned the achievment [The Undying]!
(She's like some old bugged vanilla/bc boss, unbeatable without exploits.)


Overall Map Review:

This map suffers the same problems as "Rise of the Burning Legion" and other Maps. No QWER hotkeys for skills and no way to restore mana and health outside of battles.

Points:

Story: Based on blizzard, so no rating here.
Mapping: OOOOO
Trigger: OOOOO
Gameplay: OOOOO

My Rating: 3,5

While Morchok was fun, it was getting worse and worse after each boss fight. Most of the bosses are bugged, making them Patchwerk-styled bosses. (Which are boring like hell, the fact that they didnt got a Berserk doesnt even makes it to a dps-race)

What did you download? 90 MB alpha? Rogue spawns near morhcok in alpha and... dude, you played alpha... Check the new version.

New version contains full Warlord Zon'ozz challenge and extra void. Morchoks is 95% blizzlike, Void Bolt does more damage, globules now follow yorsahj to his doom completly. Hagara is fully fixed and is overall 75% blizzlike. Enrage timers implemented, dungeon journal made even better (check quest journal) UI implemented, along with icons, spells improved and jassed. The whole content is like 75% blizzlike. Check new version here:
