Question regarding skins

Been trying to avoid asking questions and finding out first hand, but there's no warcraft at college, so, I can only browse and wonder.

Anyway, I was wondering if an imported skin path (example) units/textures/paladin.blp, is it still possible to access the old skin for the paladin? Because there are so many skins for the same hero I'd like to be able to use more than 1 skin for a specific unit.

I don't think so, unless you export/import the standard paladin model multiple times and change the texture the model needs, which would require (waste) some file space :/

But there are plenty of paladin models which basically look the same and require other textures, can you try those out?
If it's not about the paladin (if it really was just an example :p), then the only option is the one I mentioned above...
