I typically compress my files down to about 25% to make them more battlenet friendly. However, I've encountered several files recently that have an overlay. Basically, no matter what tool I use, an issue related to the Overlay arises.
I try to convert a file with Yogbul's File Converter, and it saves as an overlay, and a seperate picture with pieces cut out of it. I try to extract the blp as a bmp with WC3Editor, and it comes out as a single file, but with issues that won't let it convert to a .blp properly.
The files I've encountered that still have an overlay issue are Righteous Recover (A spell/attachment model) and Pit Nathrgeddon (A model). How do I fix these? I know another file I had issues with was jigrael's "warn" a succubus model. He resubmitted it though and it no longer had the issue.
Any help is appreciated. It's not a tool issue, as it's universal across the tools. It's clearly an art issue.
