Was more or less just curious how many of you would be interested in a game were you raise pets. Not in the sense of pokemon were you're leveling up necessarily, but more in the sense of Digimon World (if you've ever had the privilege of playing that playstation game).
I've concotated a storyline and instead of letting the discussion boil to a grinding hault before it even starts I figured I might as well share it:
That was the backstory in my head anyway. To get into a little bit of the gameplay as I saw it, I figured the logical way to start out would be to have a player pick from one of the various critters in wc3. From there the critter would grow from its baby stage to adulthood, and at some point they tamer would be allowed to have his beast unleashed, by a "magician" in the occult who is schooled in the arts of magic. Based on how the critter was trained and kept from its first days to its last, the unleashment of its adorable state into some dangerous monster would be different. I.E. the outcome of ones final product would be consequence of how it was trained initially. I also figured you could go one step further and unleash it one more time, just to have another level of exploration and dynaminism.
As far as actually training a critter/beast, I figured such things as discipline, mood, happiness/care of owner, temperment, physical fitness from activity, and other various things would ultimately be deciding factors. And of course their could be other bland factors such as simply intelligence, resilience, and stamina of the beast.
Enough talking about my concept of the idea though, I would love to hear others share their ideas, and more over if they would even enjoy this kind of a game.

In whatever land, in whatever place, once upon a whatever time, there existed magical and terrifying beasts to which the cognitive beings of the land had much trouble dealing with and handling. However, every so often a child would be born with the uncanny ability to tame these beasts, however magical or powerful they might be. The tribes, elders, and parents of those who discovered these young ones always feared them, and sometimes simply killed them off. For who could possibly defeat an army of these beasts with a will behind them? They have trouble enough killing one on their own terms. However, on rare occasion, a loving parent, or a civilized tribe, will find it unbecoming to simply slaughter these poor beings who were cursed and blessed with this ability, so they would send them off, to a place were they could be probably raised and handled themselves.
Such a place would be a mysterious occult of various adults of the same gift and other magical properties. This group of men and woman would be the ones that raised this unbarably powerful children to adulthood, and who would teach them how to tame a beast properly, how to control a beast, and most importantly how to use their power ethically.
