Patch 1.30.4 Backup Game Files

can somebody help me, I'm bored with the campaign in the ROC and TFT so I tried downloading custom campaign, but there's no actual folder for the campaign. how can paste all the custom campaign I download to the game? any idea guys pls. Sorry if my grammar is bad.

Yes, it's good, but it's a bit old, though. Many maps may require a different version.
good sir when i open the warcraft III.exe this pop ups i don't know what to do

You are also looking at the wrong folder. The Campaigns folder has to be in C:\Users\[UserName]\Documents\Warcraft III
I already put custom maps on there but somehow it didn't appear
the maps that didn't show up are
  • WarCraft III: High Death [War and Time Trilogy]
  • Legacy of Lordaeron
  • War 3 Alternate
all of it I downloaded from hiveworkshop.
I already try to reenter both of CD key RoC and TFT but nothing happens (Basically I thought it didn't read TFT custom maps from some of the comments before)

Those campaigns will require patch 1.31 or even Reforged 1.36 (which includes the custom campaigns), so you might as well installing the latest patches of Warcraft III.

I don't know why Tommi didn't respond immediately for this thread regarding the problems. He's still too busy.

where is the cd key ?
First off all, have you already own the game?

The CD-Keys were stored in either the game root or in the "C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\Warcraft III".
You need 3 files: "roc.w3k", "tft.w3k", "user.w3k". Your CD-Keys must be placed in "roc.w3k" and "tft.w3k" (no dashes is required).

The 1st picture is where you can put your w3k files. It can be either the game root or in the ProgramData.
The 2nd picture is where you can put your CD-Keys. That original photo (not by mine) has a CD-Key, so I removed it to avoid getting stolen.

How to full screen?
Please see the comments below:
For the newer versions (1.29+), there are multiple ways to change the windowmode: specifying arguments when launching the game: for 1.31+ -windowmode windowed, -windowmode windowedfullscreen, or -windowmode fullscreen, pressing alt+enter (only switches between windowed and windowedfullscreen) and changing mode from video settings.
For 1.29 or 1.30, you have to start the game using the "-nativefullscr" parameter.
With 1.31 (or even the latest patch of Reforged), this can be done with the built-in game settings inside "Videos".

Hey where to puts CustomKeys.txt to change the hotkeys (e.g. like Heroes 1st skill always Q, 2nd skill W, 3rd skill E and Ultimate R)? usually in patch prior to 1.28 it's in the Warcraft II installation folder, any info where to put it in version 1.29.2 or even 1.31.1?

The only problem about using this method is: If you have an existing Reforged installation along with any pre-Reforged versions like 1.31, you must make a backup of the "CustomKeys.txt" for both Reforged and Classic (non-Reforged) WC3. Reforged since 2.0. uses the new keymapping system which overrides the old "CustomKeys.txt". This new keymapping system can be done through "Game Options".

Pro Tip: You can just mark your own "CustomKeys.txt" as "Read Only" if you want to use your own custom keys in Reforged.

Wow thx a lot it worked:thumbs_up::thumbs_up: so it's the same location as where we place custom campaigns and saved profiles. Other question what about heroes items is there anyway to change the hotkeys from numPads to custom hotkey we want? like in prior version 1.28 there is an app called WarKey that able to bind items to another hotkey, e.g Numpad 4 to Ctrl+Q for item slot1. Is there anyway to change that in version 1.29 and up?

For higher patches, you are going to need this: AutoHotKey
