I just graduated in early 2021 (statistics degree) and haven't apply to anything. Most of my friends already get jobs o.o
Back to July 2020, I need to apply intern for my final thesis. But I still live with my mom and she has pretty bad condition. So I can't really risk to work on site. So then I basically just gave up for this year, and I tried to open art commission. I didn't do it previously because I think it'll be hard. And it turns really great. I got same, or even sometimes better income than fresh graduate. At same time, one of my lecturer gave me his research for the thesis, so I don't need to apply intern and able to graduate on second batch. Should be first batch if I didn't work on my art commission. And till now, I'm still doing freelance drawing o.o Although managing time as freelancer is really hard. Still can't work on proper schedule o.o
And I think most people I know also got 'positive' impact (on jobs) from covid o.o
