[General] Overwrote a save on a map, can I reset it?

Hi

So I accidentally overwrote a save on a map, losing the whole map. Is there any way that the map is saved somewhere else which I am able to retrieve?

If you were using JNGP then backups were maintained in a folder.

Otherwise you might be out of luck. It does not seem WorldEdit makes automatic map backups yet like StarCraft II Editor does.

The default editor creates backups if you have JassHelper enabled.

Documents\Warcraft III\JassHelper\backups

Well that is an obtuse place... I mean really how is anyone meant to know that exists?!

In StarCraft II they place them...
Documents\StarCraft II\EditorBackup
Which is a lot more sensible.
