Hi, I accidentally saved my map in the public test editor and I didn't have a backup. Now I can't open it in the old editor which I would much rather use right now since the test is buggy. Anyone know if it's possible to fix or am I screwed?

Yes it's possible. As far as I know you only need to convert the war3map.w3i by writing a tool which does it or editing the binary file manually. Maybe also the trigger data (.wtg). Otherwise you need a backup.

This should have been obvious. Don't use your only copy of your project on a largely untested piece of software. The patch clearly states it would break backwards compatibility with the editor.
DISCLAIMER: MAPS CREATED WITH PTR BUILD WILL NOT WORK ON LIVE

My advice is to check your JassHelper folders (in documents/warcraft iii) for backups.

Yea I know it's stupid I was just saving by standard I didn't even think about it, its like a tic.
How would that be done? Sounds complicated. Unfortunately I didn't find any backup file.
I've started remaking it though, it's fairly easy because I can have both editors open at once but it's quite a lot of work.
