Unable to save changes in a map

Hi so today meanwhile trying to save map i got eror .i have no idea why it occoured.maybe because i openned other program meanwhile saving map? I noticed my map fails to save when i do bigger amount of changes and try to save .after i got that eror i pressed to save map as and saved it as diff file in diff location it worked. But the question is should i be editing back up of my map? Did map which fail to save get corrupted. However i tested map which failed to save it seems to work ok in game and in editor i made few changes to see if IT can be saved and IT sucesfully saved.

Im away from Comp now but this eror wasnt something long. It Just said unable to save changes in (location and name of my map)

Sounds like a permissions error for the folder you were trying to save to, and to test that I'm curious if the copy can be opened, edited, and saved if you move it to the same folder as the one that can't be saved. If the copy works fine for saving now, just keep using it, but perhaps also keep the unsaveable one too for a while in case you notice anything going on weird with the copy.

General rule of thumb: always keep at least one backup that you know works.

Did you have the map open in wc3 while you tried to save it? That is what usually causes permission errors for me.

I also forgoy to mention that in this folder i been editing map for like 5 months and IT always worked lol. Do you think eror with unable to save can occour because of running other program meanwhile map saving? I remember i was alt tabing on discord . I have back up of map before eror but IT Has Like 3 hours less of editing

Yeah, completely fine.

If it is a permission error, you should be able save a copy elsewhere
