saving a map on vista

hi im editing a map and whenever i try to save it,. for some reason nit goes saved as .w3x and i cant play on roc. i dont even have warcraft expan sion i dont no how it does that and y. when i look for file to save wiht other maps i cant find it. If im going to open map theres a whole list of .w3m's then when i sdave it or save as theres nothing in the foldiers and its .w3x and only .w3m show up on my map list to host. anyone know how to save it under w3m. even then i just press save map(over current one) it automaticly goes as .w3x i cant even open it again wtf.im on vista please help

Clearly, you need to get TFT.

Anyway, have you tried using Save As and manually putting .w3m on the end of the file name? That's the only thing I can think of.

Maybe you're using TFT only functions? Maybe you have custom models which may require TFT? When you save it does the map say "Map now requires expansion to be played"? I have no problems like this on Vista.

Vista does not create those problems. seems like you have TFT installed on pc and trying to make an ROC map with TFT editor? ummm thats really ugly.

Makes no difference at all, I have made loads of test maps with a TFT editor and saved as RoC map..
