So, I think everyone has at least one old school game that they'll never tire of. I have dozens... and dozens... So list your favourite old school games! Old school is classed as 2003 or earlier, since 2004 was such a turning point for games.

So, my list:
Rise of Nations
Warcraft 3
Jedi Outcast
Dark Forces II
Rogue Squadron 64
Tie Fighter
Episode 1 Racer
Lots of starwars games, I know
Lego Racers
Worms Armageddon
Earthworm Jim
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater
Shadows of the Empire!
Jedi Power Battles
Half Life
Doom II
Deus Ex
Serious Sam
Serious Sam: The Second Encounter
Unreal II: The Awakening
Quake III Arena
Dave Mirra's Freestyle BMX
Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver
Crazy Taxi
Just about every Sonic game
Goldeneye
Super Mario 64
Mario Party 1 - 2
Conker's Bad Fur Day
Diablo 1 and II
Halo Combat Evolved
Halo PC
Halo Custom Edition
Kotor
Indiana Jones
Mario Kart 64
Rampage 64
Super Smash Bros.
Diddy Kong Racing

That's all I can think of for now. But I enjoyed all of these games when they were brand new. And I love them all still.

Alpha Centuri... ah now THATS a good game!
...It takes so friggen long though; I have yet to finish a single map! lolz I mean htis takes like DAYS in total playtime if your in a big enough map to get to last tech...

It was made by the same people who made Civilization. Damn like 100-200 technologys or something...lolz

Another even OLDER one (my first video-game ever), and still an old fav of mine, is Rise and Rule, of Ancient Empires. That game is so damn old; it was Sierra's answer to Civilizaton; but, some minor things stopped it (on major one though: in skirmish, if you save a game then loaded it again, you could change your race! lolz, and any special units you had became unmovable, invisible, and undestructable!).

I still hate the computers though; they are friggen undefeatable! I have played HUNDREDS of matches, but it doesn't matter; they swarm you with infantry. And I dont mean zerging. They do zerging with 100x more men! Plus they zerg their settlers!

Its impossible to trade or get alliances; as soon as your merchant gets CLOSE to them, they go to war... If you want to try it, theres free dl's around the net for it. But I warn you: its harder than anyhting you've ever tried (mostly).

Just gotta love old games & bugs that made them that more interesting! :D

*Both came out over 10 years ago!*

Hmm...
Nintendo 64:
Super Mario 64
Super Smash Bros
Mario Kart 64
Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Mario Party

PC:
Warcraft 3
Zeus: Lord of Olympus
Baldur's Gate I + II and their respective expansions.
Worm's World Party!
Knights of Honor
Edit: I forgot the Heroes of Might and Magic 3! (With all their expansions, Elemental Castle ftw)

Sega (Old, old, old School)
Sonic: Tails' Adventure (I enjoyed so much this game, but sadly I lost it... was my first video game in my life)

Here are my favorite games (I have many, many more...). I would list some more, specially some GameCube one's, but I'm not sure in which year they were released and I'm too lazy to look it up.
Probably I forget some too...

From the mentioned here: Zeus, lord of Olympus (expansion was meeeh, just lost the theming), Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 (Frank, how could you... Thought Lori sucks, TSF was a great expansion), and the search returned me this thread for the Civilization III word, so yeah, Civilization III, best stategy ever (sorry, WC3).

And Star Wars: Battlefront (both), though 1 is so remembarable... and more oldschool. :p Playing for hours after school at the local e-net club.

Also, the first games that I've ever tried: Xenon (I think it was called so) and Lode Runner, 1 and 2 (though I tried 2 later). Also the first Rayman I ever tried, dunno the name, thought.

First, starcraft's shitty graphics made it amusing, lol, and also. He's talking about civ3. Civ 4 is amazing, but that's not what we were talking about. D:

Civ4 sux. I mean look at the graphic. And that religion thing...

Civ3 is the best. And btw Civ3 isn't the best RTS ever. It's a TBS. Big difference.
That really doesn't prove it's a shitty game. Graphics don't make games, they just help.

One, sorry, TBS. Whatever, it's all strategy. Best category evah.

Look at Gauntlet. All those characters/doodads are shitty graphics. That's what makes the game. Without those, the game falls apart.

Except Gauntlet was made a hundred years ago, so it has the right to be shitty since it was technologically advanced at the time. Gauntlet 64 was win.
I never did play that, but my friends did and loved it. I wish I had.

Thinking about it, I missed out on a lot of gaming. I've actually tried to get some of it back, but it's pretty lame playing the old 16 bit games. :p

My brother had a Genesis, but only a few games. NHL 94 was pure win, and road rash was also amazing. I think we also had Madden and Fifa. I played Sonic, Aladin, and the Lion King on my friends Genesis. Oh and we had a few computer games for Windows 3.1. Commander Keen, some fighting game, and a few others not worth mentioning.

Then my friend got the N64 and we played some of those game, but I missed a bunch. Orcarina of Time was awesome, Toy Story 2 was a cool game, and Beetle Adventure Racing was the bomb. I also played SSB and Tony Hawk 2 a few times.

Then my bro got Playstation and rarely let me play it. I remember that there was some PRG game that kicked ass, but I can't remember it. Ocean Star was one, but this one was less turn based.

Another friend had Dreamcast and that was awesome. We played SonicA 2, Power Stone, and Spawn (fighting game). Oh and he had computer games like MechWarrior.

Since then I think I've played all the games worth playing.

Back to Gauntlet, it's pwnage. Gauntlet is still being made, and they're keeping the graphics. That's what makes it... Well, it.
