I've recently discovered that project Reinventing the Craft (RtC) has been abandoned by MindWorX. Project RtC included a major third party program we were going to eventually use further down the road called "WarSoc" which would enable us to reprogram the Wc3:WoW mod to be playable online - not on Battle.Net, but on WarSoc servers.

It is unlikely that MindWorX will recontinue working on the programs and so it is almost definite that Wc3:WoW will never have multiplayer compatibility. This is big news. In a sense, it's bad news because Wc3:WoW will never truly be like WoW (no real players other than the one player) and it'll let a lot of people down and perhaps even stop watching the project. However, we don't know how the public will react for sure. The good side of this is that the Wc3:WoW coders will not have to recode the entire Wc3:WoW campaign again into the WarSoc format, so development shouldn't be delayed from that.

Anyway, in short, Wc3:WoW won't have multiplayer compatibility ever and we need to come to an agreement on a decision whether to announce this to the public or not. I need everyone in the team and even Hive staff to assist in this decision.

Thank you in advance.
