NewGen (JNGP)

How come, when i open up a wc3 map with my NewGen, directly from the link/download it gives me a blank map (Barrens tileset) and not the clicked map?

If i use my normal WE it works just fine, but its pretty annoying that whenever i wanna use my JNPG, i must save the map in my maps folder, exist my WE, open JNPG, and therefrom load that map.

What must i check, that i haven't and so on?

Please help me.

hm, maybe it helps to set the save location of your browser to your map folder

Try:

Start>run

enter "regedit" in the field

Then browse to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications\World Editor.exe\shell\open\command

Change the value default from
D:\Games\Warcraft III\World Editor.exe -loadfile "%1"

into
%WHEREVERYOUINSTALLEDNEWGEN%\NewGen WE.exe -loadfile "%1"

make sure you have lastest version
go to <I forgot what it is> and Register Shell extensions
or something like that
now when you double click a map it will open with NewGen WE
(right click and open with doesnt work for all WE's)

You mean:
Extensions -> Register Shell Extensions?

Whenever i do that, it checks it, and when i close it, and open something new, its un-checked.

And Eleandor, my computer is in Danish, so i doubt that works. Sorry, else i just got it wrong.

I can only reach this: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Applications
I got no World editor file in there. Why? And how do i get it there?

Try going to edit (or whatever it's called in danish) when in the registry editor and search for world edit (or whatever WE is called in danish). Then modify the key that contains something like "D:\Games\Warcraft III\World Editor.exe -loadfile "%1""

I got nothing named 'World' in all of it, but something that has nothing to do with WE. And World editor uses English, there is no Danish version.

Do you have any fields in your registry that refer to "warcraft"?

Only a Warcraft III Replay File. Not that, i guess.
Also, my Warcraft is installed in:

D:\Interact\Warcraft III\Warcraft.exe

I think I found something, thus Eleandor, I did have another parth as well.

Edit: Tried it, nothing happened. Ill restart the computer, too see if it works.
