New Spells in Old Maps

New spells, such as Sundering Blades, do not seem to appear in my old maps. Creating a new map does make them visible. I'm wondering if there is a way to change this? I'd like to experiment with these abilities.

Open your map and set its patch settings to latest patch. Some stuff might get altered too though, beware.

Scenario -> Map Options -> Game Data Set (At the bottom) "Melee (Latest Patch)"
