How do you make a terrain shot that looks like this? I just don't get how you do it. (pictures made by Raid1000)

Honestly when im looking at this it look's impossible. It's probably a picture of a sky and use photoshop on it to make it look that good. Either that or he used custom tiles that looks like the sky and uses I forgot the sky name in the Editor.

You simply have to make a sky (I believe that's .BLP format) like the background. The sun can be found in the models sections if I'm not mistaken. The moonlight rays are default by Blizzard. And the flying stuff are raised doodads.

There's very few impossible in the World Editor as long as your motivated, creative and are able to get the resources needed.

I will write you down few steps:

1. Sky setting: go to Scenario -> Map Preferences in WE toolbar and set sky there (drop down menu)

2. To angle doodads you must use negative values in field Maximum Pitch Angle (degrees). How can that be done?! Simple hold shift when clicking on field. Note that negative values are not in degrees, but in radians, so for rotating doodad by 90 degrees you must set value to -1.57. Note: You must allow editor to have negative values in File -> Preferences -> General

3. To raise height of doodads simply hold Ctrl and press PgUp or PgDown. To be able to move raised doodads without reseting their height go to Module at WE toolbar and ucheck Reset Fixed Object Heights (last option in drop down menu)

4. Use good imported models and skins

5. You need A LOT of patience, creativity and hard work

Nah, clearly not photoshop. There are two ways to do this.

1: Set the camera at a 360 degree angle (parallel to ground) with no Z offset.
2: Invisible ground tile.
