That will be in the ground/terrain actually. It won't show. All buildings have this kind of foundation.

It's especially noticeable for Necropolis models, since the Necropolis floats above the foundation. I think Undead buildings also have less noticeable foundations and ground textures in practice because of blight.

It was always like this. In case of Ujimasa, and in case of orig necropolis from game. Only reason it can look different in original is that bottom use transparent texture

Okay, few updates:
1:

Nice ones! I especially like the Dark Alter theme. However it would be better if that liquid wasn't just simply fell into nothingness, but into a pool. Like on this model: Necropolis
