Of course toy sales main profit goes to the little girls, but the youtube videos were probably incredibly effective advertising on their part too really. The nature of the show pretty much makes everything in it an endorsement.

Unfortunately there's trolling just for the sake of pissing a ton of people off. (A long time ago when I was new to teh interwebz I partook in this, regretably.)

From what I heard from Lauren Faust for some time ago is that they wouldn't care to delete videos from youtube, as the "advertising" for the show on the internet gains them more profit than viewerscount of the show on tv. (She mentioned that on her DA page if I recall it)
