Hi. So, all I did was modify a unit name (Neutral Passive>Campaign>Buildings>Circle of Power>Text - Name: changed to "Hero"). As a result, the default amount of the gold cost of the human lumber mill went from 120 to 145. Why would this happen, and more importantly, how can I prevent it from happening?

You can't just change it back?

The only thing I could think of is your map is corrupted, although I don't think that's the case.

oh, absolutely, but my fear is that there are perhaps hundreds of other stats that have had their default amounts changed. Rather than go through the what must be billions of lines of data to figure out what stats should be, and then the billions all over again to figure out what has changed, I'd rather just not change it in the first place.

I don't think it is a corrupted map, it's just a blizzard map. I encourage you to give it a shot to see if it happens for you as well. Just open any melee map, go to any unit, make a name change, save the map, close it, open it, and see if the lumber mill gold cost has changed to 145.

Do RoC and TFT have lumber mills at different costs? That would be my guess.

not sure. but i'm fairly certain some of the armor types were different (i.e. i think huntresses had medium armor in RoC - but I checked and they are still unarmored, so that at least doesn't change..)

my guess is that there is some "melee default," and a campaign default. Making any modification changes everything to the campaign default. if i had any idea how to export the melee default to a .w3o file that could solve all my problems, but it won't let me..
