Mod that converts map to .exe

Do you guys feel that if a mod/engine allows world editor to convert a map to an .exe file, like most game making software nowadays , making it a solitary mini-game the mapping community (at least for some map types, mostly single player) would be more interested in the editor again.

I was just thinking this today and personally I would definately start doing some work, heck even finishing a map
