[Solved] Make Hardened Skin behave different on Range and Melee units?

why not have two hardened skin abilites on the item - 1 only affects melee units and 1 only affects ranged? (Haven't tried it but sounds like it could work...)

(ability "overloading")
I believe the default values on Hardened Skills are about if you take reduced damage FROM a melee/ranged unit, not if your unit is melee/range.

Or what do you mean with overloading?

yeah, I guess you need to just trigger it...

if you want instead of triggering the ability from scratch you could just add/remove versions of hardened skin to the carrier according to if they are ranged or melee.

overloading functions in some languages is when you have different versions of the same function with different argument types, so this kind of reminded me of that. ability overloading isn't really a term people use...sorry for the confusion...
