Hi,

Is there a way to use a Lua script to import files (e.g. models, icons, etc.)?

I would like it to be similar to the way the Lua object generation scripts work (these are very helpful).

You can use FileImporter, included by GrimExt. You can call it through an external command:
JASS:
//! external FileImporter F:\Files\AbilityData.slk Units\AbilityData.slk

For more information, you should look at the GrimEx manual. Open the JNGP folder, open "grimext", and open "GrimexManual.html".

Is there a tutorial on this, like for object generation?

Could you show how I would import a model and its textures (along with changing the custom path so the model finds the textures?)?
