You can use Sludge Monstrosity for walking animations and Banshee for attack animations imo. You can remove spell animations since the unit is not a spellcaster.Animation is really bad though lol, not sure if I can fix it.
Did you see the model I posted above? You can use Sludge Monstrosity for walking animations and Banshee for attack animations imo. You can remove spell animations since the unit is not a spellcaster.
I cannot open the model because I don't have a computer right now. I will try to use Model Checker to see the model.Did you see the model I posted above?
Looks good. I remember such a model on HIVE.Starting on fire elemental, probably should edit the mesh a bit too.
Yeah it should be one body instead of floaty bitsLooks good. I remember such a model on HIVE.
You'll have to fuse the parts though.
I thought the Infernal model would be incompatible, but the model you're working on is a perfect fit for the WC1 Fire Elemental. The model has hands, feet, and fingers. Nice workStarting on fire elemental, probably should edit the mesh a bit too.
Not enough TCOperation Stitch complete. Any ideas to make it better before I post it? I'm also not sure if I should animate the skin like the regular fire elementals. Maybe I'll make different versions too.
Totally forgot about that ;DNot enough TC
You should add team-colored bracers like vanilla WC3 Water Elemental.Totally forgot about that ;D
That's exactly what I didYou should add team-colored bracers like vanilla WC3 Water Elemental.
Maybe should add eyes and facial features? That's exactly what I did![]()
Gave him some eyes, not sure how I would other facial features.Maybe should add eyes and facial features?
You can also add lines to your cheekbones and other parts of your face, or to your mouth, by creating a thin line in orange.Gave him some eyes, not sure how I would other facial features.
Go Powah Red Ranger!Gave him some eyes,
More humanish would be nice either imo but there is no humanish melee unit who attack with his fists in vanilla Warcraft III. I thought the villager model could be used but it is too short and too imcompatible for an elemental unit. The best model for WC1 Fire Elemental is Infernal model.tweak the body proportions, it's basically an fire infernal, a bit redundant when villagerino has a better fire infernal, a more human-ish shape would be better, just play with the vertices; or just leave it like that and call it whatever you want anyway
Something like this?I thought you can make WC1 Spider like WC1 Scorpion which you have done before, just making the skin look alike WC1. You don't need to edit the model, you can just edit the skin.
Oh that's pretty cool! If you want I can add it to the bundle?I tried to tweak the proportions a little more to give it a more human shape:
Sure, the more the merrier XD, but test it firstOh that's pretty cool! If you want I can add it to the bundle?
Had to do one small fix on the left arm, and adjusted the fire at the feet a bit, but other than that it was fineSure, the more the merrier XD, but test it first
Starting on WC2 Great Hall, again not sure if I'm gonna finish it xD Especially the fortress seems like it's gonna be difficult.
Haha, well, that looks pretty good (from Chronicles of the Second War?). I prefer SD graphics over Reforged style graphics though. There's just something timeless about it. More importantly, modeling in SD is something I'm actually able to do, Reforged/HD is waaaaaay beyond my abilities xDView attachment 548761
I wish we could play the old but golden RTS games from Blizzard's peak era with modern graphics now. If that were the case, WC2 Great Hall would look something like this.
It is from The Scouring, an upcoming RTS game, which looks like inspired from WCII.Haha, well, that looks pretty good (from Chronicles of the Second War?). Btw, what did you think of the spider retexture? It uses the same skin as the scorpion.

Hmmm, I guess I could copy the Stand Ready animation to the Stand animation. I can also just delete (or rename) the Birth animation, you're right it looks a bit weird when summoned like that.It is from The Scouring, an upcoming RTS game, which looks like inspired from WCII.
I prefer SD graphics too because optimization of Reforged is terrible unfortunately.
The spider looks nice, but I think some of the animations could be improved. It would be nice if the spider's legs were spread apart like in the Stand Ready animation, instead of close together in the Stand animation. Also, I don't know what the Birth animation looks like on the summoned unit. It's incongruous when it appears from the sky with a spider web when summoned.

Aztecs?That's not quite right.... lol....
We have two black holes! We've got a door and a window, yay!
I remember there's a very Orcs & Humans inspired catapult on the site.Human Catapult shields could be simply edited
Hahaha, I don't know about that. With my track record it will be 2030 (or later because there are way more WC2 buildings than WC1 buildings) before I finish WC2 stuff. But very kind of you to say though, thanks for the moral support =)you are doing God's work.
The Human Catapult model can simply be edited by adding 4 shields. There are many shield models available in the Hive Workshop. This could be used for the 1st shield, and vanilla Bandit shield could be used for 2nd and 4nd shield.I remember there's a very Orcs & Humans inspired catapult on the site.
Those are the scorpion's eyes. Thanks to Warcraft: Orcs & Humans Remastered we know about that. Are those eyes or fangs on the scorpion?
Yeah. I tried to reverse the unit too but all this caused animation problems. Also, units seem to be left handed in Warcraft III.
Btw, I think you should use different skin for WC2 Orc buildings. They look too similar to the WC1 buildings.Hahaha, I don't know about that. With my track record it will be 2030 (or later because there are way more WC2 buildings than WC1 buildings) before I finish WC2 stuff. Ah, I see, you were basing them on the remaster and concept art. I thought the comparison was done with the pixel images you posted especially regarding the catapult. Thanks for the clarification. Thanks to Remastered we know about that.
Personally I like the similarity, adds a bit of continuity between the two eras.Btw, I think you should use different skin for WC2 Orc buildings. They look too similar to the WC1 buildings.
