I want to make a spell where a summoned unit can load a normal unit inside it to protect it. However when I based it on the load ability, the unit dies when the summoned unit dies or its expiration timer expires and I don't want that. I tried basing it on devour as well, however the unit cannot be unloaded whenever I want in this way, so it doesn't work either. I tried to trigger the whole thing so that the summoned unit unloads when it is near death or expiration however for some reason that didn't work either.

Can anyone tell me how to make this ability please?

I've done this with a ground unit. I gave it: Cargo Hold (ship), Load (goblin Zeppelin), Unload (Air Transports).

Are you sure there's not some other reason your unit is dying?

So if you put a standard unit in your map lets say the Goblin Zeppelin, load it with units and then destroy it. Those loaded units dissapears/dies for you?

Bcoz it works perfectly fine for me. I've been trying for about 10 minutes to get the same problem as you have by removing abilities, changing classifications and changing the feral spirit (summoning skill) to summon Goblin Zeppelin and then load it. Still those units that are loaded will unload when the unit expires or dies.

What unit have you given this load/transport abilities to? And which transport abilities do you use?

I realized what the problem was, although technically it shouldn't have been a problem. When I was doing the ability I was using custom abilities based on the load, unload and cargo hold abilities. Despite changing nothing except cargo capacity, the ability worked as I described in the first post. However when I used the normal abilities, it worked perfectly.

This is probably some kind of bug of the world editor. I experienced a similar problem with the cluster rockets effect. When I used an unchanged custom cluster rocket effect with no changes, the targets weren't damaged. However when I used the normal one, the targets were damaged. Plus reputation for thoughts and thanks.
