Hi,

Why does the Iron Dome apparently only have a success rate of about 1/10?

Surely there have been hundreds of dissertations that have gone into the technology/research for it and probably billions of dollars in R&D.

Gaza militants have launched 904 rockets at Israel. Of these, 160 were intercepted by Israel's "Iron Dome" anti-rocket system

The success rate is 90%.
Not all rockets are of interest to the Iron Domes. If the missiles are targetting populated areas, the Iron Domes take action. If not, who gives a shit?

It's a good thing we are going towards a peace treaty, so that in a few months, after they get armed with better rockets (or missiles?), they can start shooting again and the Iron Domes will have a better challenge (and of course it will all be Israel's fault).

I doubt you can "make peace" with terrorists. What is really bad is they are getting hold of proper weapons now from all those overthrown places like Libya, Syria, Iraq etc so they will be better armed than ever before.

Yes, that was sarcasm. But, Israel stopped attacking, so the world can go on to it's petty issues, since it is known nobody cares when random terrorist organizations throw rockets at Israel (yes, they are still doing it, constantly, for 14 years).
But, I wont go into details about the hypocrisy of the media and idiotic "world", since this is in computer tech (which is odd by itself).

Interesting is that those Iron dome rockets cost much more that Hamas rocket, so they could basically fire harmless fireworks rocket, just them to waste expensive Iron dome rockets.

No wonder Israel is so pissed, Hamas surely know where can make a jew hurt the most

No, more like an economical discussion. I'm just saying they should remove explosives and other necessary things from their rockets, so they can make it even cheaper, so they could throw more of them at Iron dome.

I don't see him stating of any actual research though. Meanwhile, us Israeli citizens see explosions above our heads and nearly none on the ground.
