Is there ANY way to increase the rate of gold mining?

Nothing I try seems to work. The upgrade option of "Gold Harvest Bonus" does nothing, and adding levels to the Harvest ability doesn't work as I cannot actually increase the level - it responds to neither trigger nor upgrade and remains at level 1.

Argh, then ye might need ter change the first level value of the ability.
Ye could create another ability ter test it.

That was what I was going for by giving the Harvest ability multiple levels. However, as I said, the ability does not respond to any attempt to increase its level. So unless there's a way to change the data of the ability itself mid-game, I don't see how this would help me.

I created a similar ability, but no, Harvest-type abilities somehow appear to be impervious to extra levels or something.
