Sorry if im asking at the wrong place.

I know WC3 had a thriving community a few years back , are there any useful guides and resources to learn and start a project and hope to have people who play/test it? I do know basic JAVA so maybe the entry barrier isn't that high (I hope). But I'm not sure if I should just go for it yet.

I don't think that JASS is worthwhile, but vJASS? Bloody worth the fun. Well, at least for me.

It's more about thinking inside an imperfect world though. Writing in proper vJASS is not about mastering the language in the literal way, but rather in the abusive way. Yes it'd take a lot of experiences, but along with them also come discoveries and the 'eureka'.

If you do have time to spare, then I recommend you to learn vJASS mate. Otherwise, it might be too taxing.

Other than vJASS, perhaps Wurst? Though I can't say much about it. Have no intention on dabbling in it.
