IF the game turned out to be a shitgame

DotA (ice frog and rest) are the cause of that :) .

Without DotA blizz wouldnt focus on map editor that much.
I disagree. What game provoked them to make the editor in Wc3 far superior to SC, or update it drastically from RoC to TFT?

You know what is strange people. Lots of people are telling that WoW sucks, and most of people hate it. But still its top MMO game out there.

Also there we have DotA, same thing...

haha

Will SC be out till 11th month ? Or next year again ? Oo

The more popular something is, the more people there are that hate it, and the more they hate it. If WoW didn't have it's popularity, people that didn't like the game would just /shrug. Because it's so popular they feel they need to bash the living daylights out of it.

I'm just thinking a bit (oh shit)... What if Starcraft 2 against all odds turned out to be a complete shitgame, how do you think people would react?

IF that happens, I will take a gallon of ice-cream, find a corner, cry my eyes out, and give up on the gaming industry as a whole.

Yup I took the mature route.

It's because I can't understand why it is so popular. It is so boring to me I cannot grasp why 8,000,000 people play it, and that's probably only counting the people that play on Blizzard servers!

If Starcraft 2 was a terrible game, I would probably assassinate Dustin. I hate his voice in the battle reports -_-

Perhaps there's something wrong with you. You're missing some sorta gene.

It's the people, I mean if it would been the same but with NPCS instead of real players, it wouldn't been the same. But one person wants you to join and play.. You play with that one.. Bla Bla Bla..

Then I would react in the shame fashion as Halo Wars. I would be excedingly outraged that I waited so long (though did not participate in the SC2 community) and had gotten a piece of crap. I had been a senior in the Halo Wars forum (which now is a hellzone prominent with the oblivious fools who simply decide to purchase it, and then go on and on about how the game is "unbalanced" and that their "feeble minds can't comprehend how to play it") But now gawk at ensemble studios' (now Robot Entertainment) inability to listen to their fans. Honestly, was it really necessary to put a mech unit in halo. WTF??????

This is prity much the only way it could suck, IMO, with no LAN at all, because almost ALL my time is spent on LAN parties with my friends and family. Other games I have played(Dawn of War; Tib. Wars; Company of Heroes) I have stoped playing because they do not have LAN at all. By contrast, I still play SC and WC3, even though I think they are not as good, gameplay wise, as the others.
Before you tell me to go play battle.net, keep in mind: 98% of people on battle.net can bash my face in without breaking(much of)a sweat.

The only other way is to screw up the map editor, which I have loved sence WC2, and is the only other reason I play WC3, as I almost never play a standard match anymore.

Wait, if they don't alow you to use units from SC and Brood War, that would suck.
So would not alowing you to add your own units.

I think thats everything...

If the game would be a fail, (Dont think so) BUT IF... I would be VERY disappointed. I have been playing starcraft seen it release, And it one of my favorite strategy games ever!

Cmon blizzard, Dont ALLWAYS go for WoW!

Thumbs up for a successfull game! (starcraft 2)

Well, from the looks of things it's rather unlikely that it will turn out bad. For a game on its pre-beta stage (even a year ago), it's still way more polished than the likes of RA3 (which I liked so much until I EA left the damned thing with one of the most ill-received patch in the game's history), CNC3 and DoW II.

At worst, it might not live up to the greatness of the original SC in terms of multiplayer gameplay. There are already some units that kinda look like suck to me; namely Roach and Thor. Thor was so interesting back then even though it sort of overlapped functions with the Siege Tank, but now it's like an oversized Goliath and Roach, well... it's just plain boring although the original idea of a fast regenerating unit was pretty cool.

If it does turn out bad, well, eh... I'll still be expecting some awesome mods if this new editor is really that powerful as the devs claim it to be;

Can the World Editor...
Yes, it can.

Yeah Garena is fun, especially being remembered 100times a minute how you could just become gold member to access the roo,, :slp:
They shouldn't be able to retrieve money anyway.

Also it doesn't offer anything special than less ping. And if that's fixed with BattleNet2.0... ;<

From what I've seen; they've only been adding things in to make it better( with the exception of LAN of course). As for myself, I have to use battle net anyway, in order to play multiplayer, but I still think it was a bad ideal. LAN should stay. Everything else seems cool though.

I like that they're making two expansions for it and I like the ideal of having one long campaign with many different types of unique missions instead of the 10 for each race. It's a different change and I don't mind it. In fact I believe it will help tell the story a lot better and make the game more fun and interesting for the fans. The only bad part is if your favorite race is the Protoss or Zerg than you might have to wait 1-2 years after SC2 in order to hear their story and play them in single player. Good news is that Blizzard stated the campaigns will all be unique. I think this is a good ideal and it will allow Blizzard to really focus on the story and characters a lot more.

The Galaxy editor looks awesome. There are a lot of things you can do with it. From making 3rd person shooters that looked like SC Ghost to arcade games like space invaders. The modders will love it.

Graphics, details, special effects, atmosphere... all look awesome. The combat is fun to watch. I'm also loving that they will keep track of stats like all your wins, losses, specific kills, favorite units, race... for both Multiplayer and Singleplayer in less I'm mistaken.

Starcraft was so big that it would destroy Blizzard if the sequal turned out to be crap. Blizzard can't afford to choke on this game. It's been so long since the first one came out that it would be terrible if we fans who have waited patiently don't get our money's worth. Blizzard can take as long as they want in order to make a quality game that will live up to its hype and deliver a better experience than the first one for both multiplayer and singleplayer. If Starcraft 2 isn't able to even compete for game of the year in 2010 than it failed. I'm expecting 9+ ratings from all game sites for this game. This game could and should set the bar for RTS games of next decade. It should finish #1 as the best RTS game ever. The expansions shouldn't disappoint either. Blizzard can't afford to screw up on this game and its expansions.

^Which is why I don't mind the delay.

Starcraft II is very unlikely to turn out to be a disaster.

Firstly, it successes Starcraft I, which is 2d. I'd buy this game even if it had the same graphics as WC3, because it continues a storyline and it makes up for its previous.
Secondly, this game has BADASS graphics, BADASS gameplay, BADASS idea and stands up for itself. Even if it had a gigantic bug somewhere Blizzard would fix it (though I'm still waiting for the Rifleman not to have that annoying left corner particle). If you have an idea how could it go wrong just tell me.

Well, I simply mass click until I enter the room, I'm not paying gold or platinum. + There are lots of rooms you can go to.

I would, be all means, take over Blizzard by force and force them to remake it xD!

To keep this all short:
It wont be bad, it cant even be bad in your dreams, that is how good it is.

It is actually 12,000,000 people that play wow.
I think blizzard said that on the press conference not to long ago. (well, they have said it many times before, but that is the last time that i know of)
