Idea for modeling competition

Hum i think we should make a contest about models that are rare on wacraft 3 ..

like satyr models.. or drainei models... or undead models... or highelfs.. model..

we are also short on sexy models so we should make some female models. lol

seriously, choosing a theme like paladin is pretty good idea too.
how about bard. a music related hero? and the hero's weapon or attack could be music related. like an axe-guitar.

well...ive got a better one:
lurking creatures:
- a shrub-back turtle that goes underground while standing and looks like a shrub
- a walking tree that while standing looks like an ordinary tree
- a rock that when walking or attacking has arms and face, but standing is a normal rock

we've already had a mounted unit competition. i think we should go bard cos there is like two music related models on hive and they are not even proper units.
not thief cos everyone would make some black robed guy with hood and knife. or in my case, santa with a crowbar but thats just a thief. not a class thief.
making female wizard is not bad either. i hate Lina. its too overused. either with some modification to staff or skin

That was about maps. Making models is awesome, texturing and animating also ... Mapping is just plain dull.

So far, these are the best ideas IMO:
- Buildings (never enough Troll buildings...)
- Females (also never enough Troll females)
- 5th hero/Tavern hero (absolutely!! Similar to the incredibly-successful Hero Contests over at Wc3C. You can even do teams; it's just one model, right? )
- Music related hero (whoever makes an Ocarina-player or a Didgeridoo wins automatically )


Also, did no one else catch this?

Why not just female units in general?

no. not really. there are a lot of cool music related things that people could come up with. other than being instrument specific, it could be genre specific like a rock n roll troll.
it could even be a WC-fied Elvis presley. what would be cool...

Well i just think about Racing car modelling? There is no racing car model right now (IMO) that is great... like ferrari, corvette ( hey!), McLaren, BMW, Bugatti, Porsche, Subaru,etc

how would you be judging for race cars? everyone would get 0 for creativity, 1 for animation because all that needs to move are the wheels, 1 or 2 for texture because cars are normally painted in a single colour. since that makes the judge score worth jack shit, the winner will be decided by the poll, meaning the coolest looking car like ferrari will win.
i hate racing cars btw
