IDEA: Differentiable Auto-Generated Avatars for The Newbies

The topic title has it all, folks.

I know that each user must have an Avatar, and that before we set it (i.e. new users), an automatic one must exist/be generated. However, am I the only one who gets confused seeing waves of

?

So ah dannae. I've seen forums with those weird auto-generated "gravatars"... But here we can certainly do better. Don't we have a line-up of all the units/heroes in-game, the Portraits/icons? That might make a good rando-Avatar.

The hive used to have tons of avatars to pick between, site could just pick one of those randomly.

We have 3 default avatars. male, female and misc. It would be fun to have something better, but I don't know if I can be bothered .
