Hydra Ward

I am a stupid very....I thought this model was broken cause previously I could not figure out why the bone_turret rotation was not working, so i couldnt use it and thought I had deleted it....I found it, took a look at it and.........The mesh was just not connected to the bone turret, it was a simple move to parent bone :(.

Anyway it works now :P.

Update: Made it more reddish.

Concept is great, but why are the heads pitch black? You should give them the texture from the regular serpent ward.

Lolololol. Simple mistakes. : )

This *looks* pretty fantastic... It'd be great if it could feature the different heads moving for the attacks (attack-1, 2, 3, etc).

I made this long time ago before I had learnt to animate but now I no longer have the tools to animate anything.

just darkened naga heads? oO don't you think they would benefit from lill more different shape? or teamcolor glowing eyes at least?

Idk I experimented with color, I found black to be the coolest, red to be to much red as for glowing eyes, that would barely be visible because of all the fire effects. I could upload a more reddish version but I found black to be more diabolical.

Oh well made it more red due to popular demand.

Ooh... Can't help ya there. :< Yeah, I've been wishing I could get a legal copy of that for *ages*...

Ever tried messing around with Retera's "MatrixEater"? I haven't touched it much myself, but it's this new & upcoming tool that can do tons of crazy stuff you used to have to use several separate programs for... It can even combine two units & keep their animations together! (mounted units, hooray!)

Never heard of it :O, there is probably a steep learning curve, don´t know how much of what I know of 3dsmax5 modeling can be applied to another program.

A legal copy of 3Ds Max is through the god damn roof.
Have you had a look at Blender? It's free, resembles 3Ds Max quite well, and is actually used by a lot of indie companies.
