How to install WC3 on OX Yosemite without a CD?

I went into battle.net/account to try to download WarCraft 3 for OS X, but it only gives me the Windows download. Upon further research, I've learned that in Blizzard's endless laziness they haven't updated their WC3 downloader to the non-power PC spec and because of it they've prevented Mac users like me from downloading the game.

Anyone have any tips on getting this game installed?

There is info on some specifics that I've compiled here:

But getting the editor to work is a bit of an issue. I think I've been able to have World Editor open through WINE, but the toolbars were black (still usable though, sorta).

Anyway, I went through that guide start to finish quite a few times on different computers. I never had issues besides a crash with the movies (but you can just rename the movies folder to prevent that, see the FAQ). LAN and BNet both work.
