how to increase unit size ?

I know that my question is quite stupid, but I can't figure this out. I've try to find the answer on the forum but I coudln't. I know how to increase the size of an unit by model-art. The thing is I also want to increase the size of the selection. In other words, I want that the small units can't go into the biggest ones. That's really annoying. So if someone can answer without blaming me that would be nice ^^
