How can I change the time before a spell starts its effect?

Example: One of my units can cast Warstomp, but the effect starts before the unit's slam animation is finished.

I tried messing around with Cast Point, Cast Backswing, etc, but it won't work.

How to fix this?

Edit: Solved.

Well, it's 1.33 seconds. Doesn't seem very long. :{

But the effect starts at about 0.5 seconds.

I messed around with Channel a bit, and I can make it so the effect starts at the right time. But then I can still move around or cast other spells with the unit, while he's doing his animation (and the effect will still start).

Weird. For the normal War Stomp with the Tauren Chieftain hero, adjusting cast point would fix the timing issue. Cast point = the delay between "begins casting..." and "starts the effect...". The unit starts the animation when it begins casting, the effect starts with, well, "starts the effect of an ability".

It would be easier to try to fix if you could provide a test map.
