Honor of the Damned v1.45

This bundle is marked as useful / simple. Simplicity is bliss, low effort and/or may contain minor bugs.
Honor of the Damned v1.45
by AngryBovine

[NOTICE - This map may be in an "alpha" version, but all basic (and even most of the advanced) functions work. The core game should be 100% functional. Thanks for stopping by.]

Honor of the Damned is a unique AOS map, where your objective is to win by resources accumulated by assisting your faction in capturing neutral nodes. In the outskirts of the Capital City, two factions prepare for war: The Coalition Forces and the Hand of Chaos.

Each faction will eventually have 11 unique heroes each. At the moment, Coalition has 5 heroes and Chaos has 6 heroes.

So, why are there so few heroes and what makes this unique? To put it simply, each hero has its skill set chosen out of a larger pool of skills. In effect, players have the option to play heroes how they like. Abilities can be mixed and matched, choosing from one ability from each column on the skills trainer.

On the topic of skills, almost every single hero ability scales with one or more stats.

Points of interest:
-Unique factional heroes
-Intriguing abilities; extensive use of non-standard skills
-Nature of scaling abilities - most if not all skills are triggered
-A more team orientated objective - capturing nodes
-Multi-"speccable" heroes
-Heroes can be generalized or specialized as the player desires
-Heroes use one or more archetypes: Tank, DPS, or Healer
-Item system involving equipping just 1 weapon and 1 armor
-However, items such as Trinkets can be equipped in earnest
-Damage Detection System (and subsequent display)
-Hit Table to go with damage detection; hits can be dodged, parried, blocked, and more!

Credits for contributors can be found on the Map Description (in game). This map is not protected, though it is optimized, so map content may not be available for viewing. If you wish to see the triggering, you can PM me and I can send you a copy of the un-optimized map.

Please post bugs you find here! This will help improve the quality of this game. Please note this game is in an alpha/beta stage; there may be quite a few features still not implemented or working. However, all the base features are there and working. To my knowledge, all heroes allowed to be used are completely functional.

I'm not sure if you're aware of how hard it is to program AI that can actually play an AOS map well. I for one am not going to attempt it until this map is done. It's been enjoyable to work on this map thus far, it was a change of pace from the RTS genre. There are just so many hero ideas that I had wanted to implement, and something to trump DotA within our local community. There's a different flavored ice cream for everybody.

Which hero did you use? What would feasible suggestion would you have for the map? Did you play with another person? (That's probably a no.)

I like the idea but there is so many bugs and not an eyecandy map there is a bug if you upgrade 3slot abillity till rank 2 then it will say the 3slot is already taken made me angry. Feels little like my next map that i got from darkening wars the name is Advanced Warcraft its like darkening wars like: If you upgrade orcs with bloodlust then when they get injured they will walk faster and attack faster when you upgrade level 2 orcs can get level 2 injurie means faster and take more damage.I will give big credits for that.

No, it seems to be working. Be aware you're allowed one skill per COLUMN. (For a total of 4 skills.) You can't have both Sweeping Strikes and Shield Block, because they occupy the same ability slot.

Perhaps it stated that you didn't have enough skill points? You need to level to gain more of those.

I noticed you also added in "error boxes" in your first post. What do you mean by that?

Haha, thanks for posting. I'm working on reterraining as well as reworking some of the current spawning/gameplay systems, but the core hero system is staying. I'm also cleaning up some of the text, since I tend to get wordy.
