i looked through the icons. there is a few hidden icons that isnt on the list. they are: resourcemanastone.blp, resourcehuman.blp, resourceorc.blp, resourcenightelf.blp and resourceundead.blp. i dont have the slightest idea what the racial resources was used for though. i looked at the editor and according to it the priest as well as the sorceress that is listed as hidden models are used as the default models for those units, therefore they arent hidden.

It might be that they included the GS icon on the earlier versions of RoC, then removed it on some updates... I think of this since the last post on that icon before Marshmalo was on 2004...

Yes, they removed some icons, some where left, some where later added to WoW. Like the RoC charm icon is now a human racial spell.

So I created some WorldEditorData/String files to show the hidden icons/models in the World Editor. They show up in the "Extra" category.

To use it, just place both text files in your Warcraft III folder.


EDIT: Why are people only dowlonading the Strings.txt? xD You need both..

-Select an Passive Icon
-Open up the model path of the Passive Icon you selected
-Change the "ReplaceableTextures\PassiveButtons\PASBTN<Your Selected Passive Icon>.blp" into "ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTN<Your Selected Passive Icon>.blp"
-Enjoy!

It all works on the Passive Icons through the World Editor... Just change the "PassiveButtons" into "CommandButtons" and delete the "PAS" (Next to the BTN) word.

Example:
Before:
ReplaceableTextures\PassiveButtons\PASBTNJaina.blp
After:
ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNJaina.blp

Idk if I am the only one having problems, but this texture "ReplaceableTextures\CommandButtons\BTNPoisonArrow.blp" doesn't work for me when I set it to the icon of a buff. Something to note, it shows in the editor, but not in the actual game for me. Pretty odd.

I found 3rd variant of Barricades, its in Wc3x.mpq archive it isnt selectable from the ui, only with a path.

Those icons are not hidden; they were added with the new abilities in the latest patch.

Sundering Blades upgrade should look somewhat like this instead, since its meant to be against medium armour, plus it should look like knight's sword and not some stupid orange WoW cricket paddle.

But then its probably a downsampled Reforged icon so....

I am the source, i made it earlier today out of iron sword and armour upgrade. Medium armour is Iron armour upgrade but with blue outline.
