Yay! You finally came here! I just want to say I personally am VERY glad you are here. You are one of the best terrainers I have ever seen and DEFINATELY one of my influences. And as for your terrain - I already Have all those pics copied onto my PC =D =D

I hope you're stay here is awesome, and that you "settle in" or so to speak.

most impressive. Ive looked through a lot of these sceneries but i seem to like this the best. Out of curiosity though is there a way to increase the veiwing distance so far away objects dont fade away? Ive made some cool terrain lately but when i start up the game almost all of it is ruined because of the game seems to fade out objects. Ive even made the entire map visible but it still doesnt work. any advice would be most appreciative

yeah, go to Scenario --> Map options and check Terrain Fog
Then mess with the Z start and Z end to get the fog effect youre looking for.
~The higher the number Z start is, the farther away the fog will begin.
~The higher the number Z End is, the fartheraway the fog will be at 100%
~The higher the difference between Z start and Z end is, the more gradual the fog will increase, very nice if you want to add a small color fog to the screen but want everything to be clear

thnx ill try it out and see if it works. Once again i complement those screenshots, that terrain is simply the best

i've mentioned this before and in some cases, the image is simply custom models. However others are done very very well and do not rely on the models. The custom models are there but are not the sole reason it is good, they just simply make it better.

Hernang is a great terrainer and i've seen his other works in the past that do not need any custom models.


Custom models are great, but they should not be the reason the terrain is good.

If possible, I would really like to know what you used to make your helms deep or if you could let me know if its imports?
