Im new to "the hive" and map making so i dont know how will i accomplish this.
I only know that i whont to transfer .mp4 videos form my pc to w3ft WorldEdit and make a video out of it.A very short one 5min video.

Wait, why wouldn't he be allowed to do that? I mean, obviously, he can't put up a direct download link for it, as Hive doesn't have age protection. But he would be allowed to, for example, upload it to pastebin and only give the link to the download via PN requests, right?

Also, in his project presentation, he is not allowed to post actual pornographic content of his map, but he could post non-pornographic content, like interface, map design, screenshots without nudity, etc.?


I ask because actually WC3 allows the usage and display of high resolution TGAs (up to 2048x2048 images) and basicly offers all the features of RPG maker, which is a very popular platform for adult indie games.

I could imagine some cool game remakes of flash or RPG maker games spawning from that, like Sim Brothel, Princess Maker or Slave Maker. All these games actually have lots of interesting gameplay elements aside from the pornography, like economy (SB), adventuring (PM) and RPG-based leveling (SM).

It would be quite a waste to deny mapmakers of quality maps in that section access.

Also, what exactly is wrong with pornographic games? After all, violence is allowed, right? I don't get what is the deal with porn being judged harder than violence in games. Sex is natural. You can't say that for killing people.

As long as he is not advertising his map. I mean, people asking for it can get it and he can share it with his friends, but he should not send unsolicited PMs about his map.

Well obviously "porn games" should have a gamey element to them. Just packing a video and playing it via the map would be pointless.

But as I said, there are some nice RPG-maker based indie games with porn content out there. I named a few further up. Those are actually gamey enough.


Also, I could imagine some visual novel (aka dating-sim) style gameplay in a WC3 map.

@Ezekiel: that is actually the limit, yes. If you want even larger images, you must seperate them into chunks. I did that on my Intro for Gaias Retaliation. The map you see in certain scenes there is a 5120x4096 image that consists of 4 sub-images at 2048x2048 and 4 images of 1024x1024.
