Greetings! Being a wc3 mapper and a HoN gamer, I thought I'd share some stuff with you. For those who dont know, HoN is a spinoff from DoTa. Where they also tried to replicate most of the interface and such. But they also included an editor. You cant do much triggering in the editor and there are some stuff lacking, but you can still create some amazing terrain.

I've seen alot of fantastic terrain art here. So if you want to try something else, try the HoN editor. HoN is free and so is the editor. These 2 movies are a demonstration of what HoN is capable.

Indeed, I can't say am a fan of DotA 2's graphics. Heroes of newerth is rather dark, which most players hate, but after seeing the video with the island.. well, they should create a bright map aswell. Because that island is pure sex.

Sure hope you're refering to the graphics and not the terraining itself, because as far as I can tell that island is like the most bland and boring scenery I've ever seen.

I really liked this one, reminds me of the Diablo map by Cloudwolf.
But I agree a bit with Fladdermasken, it is pretty much the engine who makes the island look awesome.

I halfway agree, and Its halfway my point

My point being that the engine is capable of amazing terrain.

But the jungle terrain is rather epic, and is made epic by him and not the engine.
But as said, I was just hinting that HoN is f2p, so get ur skilled ass terrainers over there and give the terrain a shot! :3

Agreed, HoN boasts one of the prettiest terrain i ever seen. Sometimes i just die while admiring the terrain.
